Best leak detector I've owned. As long as the longevity last. Guess time will tell.

Over the years I have had a number of different leak detectors. Different detector types for different situations, but this one is the bees knees. I had a leak in a large 60 by 65 chilled storage room with 2 evaporators on separate condensing units, one of which had a leak. Unsure if it was the condensing unit or the evaporator I turned the unit on,waited till the unit had initialized (about 90 seconds) opened the chiller door and entered. As soon as I was inside the detector went into alarm so I knew I was at the right place, reduced the sensitivity and proceeded to locate the leak. This detector saves so much time it pays for itself quickly and with a usb charging battery, no worries about carrying spares.

Did not work out of the box. LED screen would not turn on at all even after hours of charging. I tried to spend the money to get the best and it was the worst.

Must have for MVAC technicians, sniff out leak like a bloodhound on a mission, picked up a small evaporator leak without even taking anything apart.

Don’t be bothered by the price just get it
