Two thumbs up for automagically turning things on and off via Z-Wave
Connected to SmartThings hub quickly. Turns the switch on and off and appears to accurately monitor energy usage. I have it working about 35 feet from the hub. No issues since pairing.I wish it was a little smaller. In certain positions, it may block an adjacent socket. I also wish it were about 20% less expensive. Those things don't change the fact that it works well and reliably. I'd love to see Aeon make a 6 or 8 socket power strip or surge protector with individual socket control. Perhaps a Smart UPS as well.

Did not work with Piper cam and was a pain to reset
Bought this as an addition to my Piper cam but it only worked once and then it just kept disconnecting.Piper was never able to fully connect to this device and customer support was no help.It might work for you but for me it was a pain, it was also a pain to reset to initial settings.I think that the piper cam was possibly at fault but I also read that the smart switch had an issue of not contacting Piper or other compatible devices.

Accuracy Issues, Good with HomeSeer PI, Keeps Internal Memory of Last On/Off State, Comparision with Older DSC06106 Model
I've been using this for a couple days now with HomeSeer on a Raspberry PI with a Z-Stick and I've had no problems with it whatsover. I've used the energy monitoring and switch functions. It also keeps its own memory of the last on/off state in case of a power outage, without even having a connection to a Z-Wave controller. (Some devices do not do this, so pay attention to that if you would like your appliances to come back on after a power outage). The questions I posted on Amazon regarding what the differences are between the newer DSC24-ZWUS and the older model DSC06106-ZWUS were deleted, so I will post what I found here here since I ended up purchasing several of each model. The DSC06106-ZWUS only reports watts and KWh used, and was registered with the FCC in 9/2010. The DSC24 reports voltage, watts, kWh, and amps, and was registered with the FCC on 8/2013. I'm assuming the DSC24 has the newer Z-Wave chipset as well(see Z-Wave Wiki). The DSC24 FCC Registration is: XBADSC24. The DSC06106 FCC Registration is: XBA20100207.I possess a couple of multimeters capable of measuring AC current when put in series with hot or neutral. I compared the readings on both the DSC24-ZWUS and the DSC06106-ZWUS under load after seeing that the newer DSC24-ZWUS consistently read about 500mw higher, and that it showed my 16W LED light bulbs consuming 17 watts, whereas the DSC06106 showed about 16.5 watts. It turns out that the DSC24-ZWUS was in fact reading high, whereas the older DSC06106 was more accurate. An issue with the DSC06106 was that it would not register power consumption when consumption was under about 500mw.I would be interested to see what everyone else finds as far as accuracy. Remember to check your AC voltage first, then multiple that times the amperes to get a comparison. (BTW the amperes also showed high on the DSC24-ZWUS.

very difficult to pair with veralite
took over an hour of trial and error to get this to pair w vera lite. instructions on the switch were useless. it says when you plug it in you will get a blinking light; you do not. instead I learned you need to hold in the switch for a while till the light blinks. that is just the beginning. however, once the thing paired, it seems to work well, so that is the good news.

Reliable and simple to use
I'm using this with the Vera/ MioS system and it works flawlessly - simple to pair, responsive with a decent range, and it's also really interesting to see what power consumption is reported from whatever is plugged in to it - makes you think about how long you should leave things on for, which can only be good!

Hard to install
Having a hard time for it to work in a Piper NV system. After 25 tries, I still haven't been able to install this item.

Excellent!!! So happy to have found these!!!
These are GREAT!!! I bought three for my home to hook into my z-wave whole house automation system. I will budget to buy a few more for additional light fixtures. If you have whole house automation through a z-wave central panel then know that your service provider will have to configure the website so that you can manage and adjust your lights remotely. There is a cost for that. Some companies require that a service tech come to your house (for a service fee plus labor costs) to install/configure the panel and also to configure the web interface/app. If you do not have whole house automation, then you can set these up and use them with a thumb drive/USB external device that you HAVE TO BUY SEPARATE FROM THIS MODULE!! There is also a remote control that can be used to mange and adjust your lights/devices remotely through a website or app. Just know that buying the appliance module by itself is only one part of the program. I learned this the hard way and wanted to provide anyone else with good information before spending $50 bucks on the outlet module. You have to have some way to manage the devices online - either through your security company (for a charge and service call) OR through another device/thumb external or remote device. I do not know how the device/thumb drive or the remote works as I have mine configured through my main security panel. I would call your security company before you purchase to find out what they will charge to come to install and configure the website for remote access. I was able to configure the device to my z-wave panel myself but the security company still requires that a tech come out to ensure that it is connected properly before they configure the settings on the website. I hope this makes sense and is helpful. Regardless of the setup issues, or additional costs, and drama....I paid 1/4 what the security company was going to charge me for the appliance module with their brand name on it. So, I saved overall by purchasing online and connecting the device myself.

Works perfectly but too pricey
Great product, works as described and very reliable. Connected right away to my SmartThings hub. I think they are a bit overpriced, I would buy more if they cost 10-15 dollars less.
