Large Pet Essential Fats is a unique essential fatty acid formula containing eicosapentanoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) (important usable forms of essential omega-3 fatty acids), gamma linolenic acid (GLA) (an important essential omega-6 fatty acid), mixed tocotrienols and tocopherols (Vitamin E), and astaxanthin. The EPA and DHA are in the form of triglycerides derived from marine lipids using a patented flash molecular distillation process and the GLA is derived from cold processed borage seed oil. Each batch of fish oil contained in this formula is tested and guaranteed to contain insignificant levels of heavy metals, PCBs, pesticides, and other organic contaminants. The mixed tocotrienols and tocopherols are derived from rice bran and are included in the soft-gel capsules to provide antioxidant protection to the polyunsaturated oils.
