Nice looking piece
Cool, modern buffet very reasonably priced around $270. Realize it's a laminate finish as opposed to actual wood. Looks just fine except that when you're directly over it, it looks a bit artificial and I don't love the grain. Also, the drawers don't have a smooth, silky opening mechanism. It feels a little cheap. And it will be 3 hours to assemble it, assuming you're pretty skilled. That said, looks nice and has pretty good storage for much less than a piece at, say, pottery barn. It's not the same quality/construction, but looks nice enough and gets the job done. I had a guy assemble it for me. I would have happily paid more for a finer finish and smoother drawer mechanisms. All in all, considering the price, quite satisfied.

Rubbish
Okay, it looks nice, but don't lean against it. It is not solid. The dowels holding it together are okay but the board it is made of is low density and rubbish. The way they tell you to put it together puts a strain on the dowels and the chip board just gives way. So now my new cabinet looks like someone took a hammer to it. The holes for the drawer slides on mine were just off enough that I did not notice until I put the drawers in. The left side of the top drawer is a half inch higher than the right side and does not align with the doors. The boards on the back are to be put on with tacks that will not hold it. Rubbish. So, after a shouting match with my wife- who wanted to send the whole thing back - we are putting stuff in it we rarely use in case opening the doors causes it to tip over. The door hinges are very nice.

Nice buffet for the money
I have also put together a lot of flat packed furniture. And as mentioned in other reviews, assembling this buffet is not for the uninitiated. If you new to putting together flat packed furniture, find someone who can help you. This piece took me roughly 6 hours to assemble and was pretty straight forward, but the doors/hinges were a definite pain in the butt to align. And it can be assembled by one person. Is is a decent piece of furniture considering the price point. It passes the "5 foot" inspection easily. However, get closer and you will see some flaws and mars, which was a little surprising considering the wildly excessive packaging, but your friends will never notice and it does look good overall. I gave it 4 stars only because at this price point, it's as good as you're going to get. This buffet is going to get little use other than display and it just works well in our kitchen, so the lower quality particle board and inferior drawer hardware isn't an issue. However, these materials would not cut the mustard with something like a dresser or anything else that is intended for moderate to heavy use. You have to get into the 350 to 400 dollar arena for those items.Bottom line is that this buffet is exactly what we expected to get and we are happy with it.

Exactly What I Wanted
I've been looking for a storage unit that would look like a fine piece of furniture for a couple of years but it had to have certain dimensions. Finally, I found exactly what I needed and wanted. It was a bit time consuming to put together as others have stated but frankly it was totally worth the effort. This buffet looks beautiful and can be put in any room of the house. I have it in my living room because my storage problem involved media of all types and I managed to fit everything I had into it with room to spare. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

The product itself is awesome and looks great
The product itself is awesome and looks great, with the exception of the scratches that were on it due to the poor packaging (see the attached pictures), the glass for the doors are not sturdy because the clear plastic tabs did not have the holes properly drilled out on them for the screw to go through (pictures also attached), the blood that we had to wipe off the wood from my amazing and good looking boyfriend attempting to drill them out himself, cutting his fingers and snapping the tabs, and the backing not being hammered in all the way because about 1/2 of the nails that came in the packaging were missing either the head on the nail, or the point to actually nail (it was basically just a small metal rod).I will say the swearing, pain, blood, and frustration coming from my boyfriend was entertaining. The entertainment is what got this product the third star, otherwise, it would simply be 2.

Lovely Sturdy Piece - Putting it Together Wasn't Difficult
We received this on November 14, 2019. After lunch on November 15, 2019 I decided to unbox the parts and pieces while the hubby was at work. Once I had verified that there wasn't any damage to the pieces; there was a deep gouge in the box that affected the styrofoam but not the pieces. I took a look at the directions, and the parts list. I took my time and labeled each of the packets. After that it was slow methodical putting the pieces together, the only area of confusion that I found were the flying buttresses and how they affix to the sides, once I got that corrected it was fairly easy going. It took me 4 hours from start to finish with the odd break here and there. I didn't need power tools, and the hubby did help with the heavy lifting when it came time to do so. I did have a screw break while putting the hinges on but luckily we had a self tapping screw that I could screw in that worked. Having installed this type of hinge before I have found it's easier to get it level if you don't take the hinge apart. Just double check the direction of the door before installing the door side and then set the two top screws in the cabinet (making sure the door is level at that time). Any other small adjustments can come from the center screw in the hinge. It's a lovely piece and makes our dining area more pulled together. The color is a very dark espresso.
