These are cheap, reliable and relatively accurate, Ideal for general purpose stuff like the temperature of your hot water tank etc. I have bought several over the years for specific tasks. The battery lasts approximately 1 year and can easily be replaced at very minimal cost.

Not expensive and they work okay

Easy to fit in the application I had. A very simple panel mount. However, subjected to the same localised environment i.e. all probes together in a fridge, they vary by a couple of degrees. If it's to keep an eye on the fridge they're ok. For precise scientific processes I think not. But as I said, they're cheap.

The units are obviously designed for push through panel mounting with sensor cable coming out at about 45 degrees from side/back edge. Battery access is also via back panel.The four units reported temperatures within 0.4C of each other at room temperature. Absolute accuracy was not tested but was not relevent for my application which was comparing pipe temperatures around 40-70C. Very good value for money

Got all 4 of them showing same temp within 0.1C. testing with boiling water yielded similar reading, though a bit lower than 100c (98.5 - 98.9).

I have bought two lots of these thermometers. They are small, easy to read, versatile on account of their remote sensor, and cheap. I have used them to insert the sensors into the foam insulation of the hot water cylinder, to show the water temperature at different levels.Having bought eight of them, I could see how accurate they are. There is often a variation between the thermometer reading the highest and the one reading the lowest. It's not much - perhaps about 1 degree Celsius at most.However, the main problem is that when a new battery is needed, the battery compartment cover is quite flimsy. The small lug holding it tends to break rather easily, either when you are opening the compartment or even spontaneously.As with all things, you get what you pay for!

These arrived today 26/02/24 I emptied pack contents and the screens were already working displaying the temperature. I am very pleased because they were only about 0.2 degree diff between one another, pretty accurate in my estimation. They are very compact, and the digital screen occupies an entire face of the unit with big clear numbers. I can't rate the battery life, but at this stage I am very happy.
