Fuel control for each individual cylinder in a smaller enclosure. “Warm up” fuel adjustment (unit reads engine temp and allows fuel/timing adjustments based on the reading). Reduced size from the PCIII USB. Easy to install. USB powered from computer; 9 volt adapter is no longer needed. Two-position map switching function built-in. Can add any Single Pole Single Throw (SPST) switch and toggle between two different fuel maps. Gear/speed input allows user to install any 0-5 volt senor. Build an adjustment table based on analog input such as boost or temperature. Power Commander V is capable of allowing each cylinder to be mapped individually and for each gear with the gear position input connected. More tuning ranges than PCIII USB. Enhanced “accel pump” utility.

Not compatible with pcv tunes
User is no longer allowed to adjust fuel beyond 15%. Tunes can only be written by dynojet authorized computers now. And they lock a factory "zero" base map that contains values the user cannot see. Dynojet only offers "stock" tunes that suck. Slower than factory. Took a week off tweaking to get it back to factory power. Waste of money unless you have another $300 per tune.

A pain to install
I had a old Power Commander III and much like the picture, it connected right into the wiring harness at the computer under the hood. The new unit, although smaller, had to be hard wired individually into each wire and at each point. It was a pain! Yes my performance is improved, but be prepared for some work. I got it so I could install the auto tune, which apparently doesn't fit my V&H Bigshots, so now I am looking to either get new pipes or drill out my pipes to fit it.

Good experience
Exactly what I expected. Straight forward install. Go to manufacture’s website for color version of the instructions. The supplied monochrome instructions leave room for improvement.

I added aftermarket exhaust to my 02 Honda VTX 1800 and decided to add this so as to richen the A/F mixture. Had no idea I would get such a gain in performance!
