Scientific Atlanta Cable Modem Model#DPC2203C

OLD TECHNOLOGY
Ok I never usually give comments but I feel compelled to say something, the moden/MTA arrived sooner than expected, and as stated in "like new condition" only problem is NO BATTERY!!!! and after a serious amount of research and phone calls to California (I live in Florida.) CISCO which is the mother company of Scientific Atlantic stated that they stopped making this model over 4 years ago, no software or hardware support. He suggested I contact the seller and get my money back, only I cant do that since "sold as is" written on the box, the rep from CISCO also suggested that I try the service provider in this case BRIGHTHOUSE and see if they have spare battery. Guess what no &*&*^(*^& BATTERY, can't find one on ebay, can't find one on the flippin moon!WELL BEWARE, not only is your cable provider going to charge a monthly rent on your cable modem but its all so flippin old the manufacturer won't support it. I have the same exact modem/mta in my house, have had it for over 10 years, its old technology and not even made anymore, I thought by purchasing a modem I would save money in the long run, so far I spent over 60.00 for a modem with no battery (useless) and will still have to pay rent on the same old modem I have had for over 10 years, OLD TECHNOLOGY. TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND GOOD MONEY!SO moral of the story, don't buy hardware in "AS IS" condition, from AMAZON, this did arrive early, and the equipment appears like-new only its USELESS WITHOUT A BATTERY, which was probably sold for scrap for the lithium AT A PROFIT FOR THE SELLER,THANKS FOR NOTHING.

Modem replacement
This Modem is a straight replacement for the Brighthouse one which was costing me almost $5.00 a month. It works great after giving the information to customer services.

Works good kind of out dated

Outdated, but replacement with phone line output are expensive.
Outdated. But it handles the phone line for my VOIP phone that sames me about $40 a month compared to AT&T landline. But it can't be replaced with a modem that is $60 - $80, for they lack a phone jack. If you want telephony included, then you will spend about $150 on a modem. So now the $10,00 a month rental from TWC seems more reasonable because it includes repair and replacement.
