[UPDATE] 8.28.2022So I have been running on this laptop for 6 months and it still runs like a champ. Have not had a single issue with the laptop. After reading so many positive and negative reviews. I decided to give it a try and test my luck. The laptop arrived and I unboxed it. It was not in the typical Apple packaging but still quite secure. Upon initial inspection, the laptop looks virtually new. I could not see any scratches or blemishes, dings, scraps on either the case or keyboard and display. The laptop came with Sierra installed so the first thing I did was upgrade to macOS Monterey. No problems at all upgrading.So far I have had this laptop running non-stop for a little over a month and I have zero issues. It has been a trooper so far and I am very pleased with the purchase. The touch bar has some very nice features from the biometric access reader to other common functions at your fingertips.I am the type of person that has to have background noise when I work. I typically like to listen to a movie or series. The sound quality is much better than my last MacBook. At first I thought that the right speaker was blown out or non-functional but as I diagnosed the issue. Found that the balance was all the way left. So once I equalized the balance … it provided sound. The Retina display resolution is remarkable. I had this in my last MacBook and loved it. Nothing changed there.The performance and processing speed of this laptop are on par with the model year. It is fast and reliable so far and up to all tasks that I have attempted.The only ports for this laptop are Thunderbolts. So you will have to update your connections if necessary. I found a great hub that suffices.This product is backed by the 90-Day Amazon Renewed Guarantee.I appreciate you taking the time to read this. All in all, this laptop feels like a brand new MacBook Pro. It was beautifully kept and/or renewed and I have absolutely no complaints so far. I will update this review if anything occurs. *This is an addition to the initial review below. After paying $750 for the screen repair, the hard drive completely crashed a few weeks later while I was in the middle of a project. Because this model has the hard drive soldered to the motherboard it is unrepairable. I bought the computer in October and this happened in March. $1500 plus $750 repair got me 6 months out of a machine. Lesson 1: Get the extended warranty for your laptop . Lesson 2: Don't purchase renewed from these folks.I bought this Macbook Pro at the end of October. I was really excited about the product and value! I did notice the N key was more illuminated than the others and seemed to behave in a "sticky" manner, but was willing to overlook this issue for the price. I had good buyer confidence with the 90 day warranty. However, after 120 days the monitor display went out rendering the machine useless. After to taking it to a local shop for evaluation, they said the repair would be $750. I decided to reach out to the company. I called and left a message with a detailed description of the issue. After not hearing back after a week I sent a message via Amazon. After another week I resubmitted the same message which is as follows:Greetings. I purchased this renewed MacBook Pro at the end of October. A few weeks ago the screen randomly stopped working. It won't even work to recognize and connect to a second monitor. I contacted a repair shop. They said it is very common for that model and year for the internal display component to go out. They also said Apple had an extended repair program for those models for those years with that problem. However, this computer is exempt because it is a rebuild. This computer is just outside of the 90 day warranty from my purchase. Is there something that you can and are willing to do to help me out with this situation? I am making monthly payments on a computer that is not working that I've only had for less than 4 months. Thank you for your time and consideration!I finally, after the third attempt, heard back. They simply told me to contact the warranty company. As you can read in my message the product was already outside of warranty. I was just hoping the company would show some integrity and stand by their product. I am making monthly payments on a machine that lasted less than for months and is now rendered useless unless I shell out another $750. Please be weary when trusting this company with your money.

This MacBook Pro 15" late 2016 2.9GHZ Has exceeded all my expectations! It feels, Looks, and operates like new. It has the Catalina OS installed and it is so smooth operating, that I'll leave it there instead of up dating to Monterey. The screen is beautiful with the Retina display and the sound is awesome...no need for extra speakers. Battery life is incredible, I've seen other reviews were they weren't so lucky, but this one is no problem, I can use it for easily 8 hours plus.I'm very happy I choose this model and got it for such a reasonable price.

The machine is near-perfect. Everything working for the most part and no physical blems. The only issue I’m having is that the T1 chip and touch ar biometric reader are not working together. I can’t add any fingerprints to sign in. Workarounds tried nothing works. I suspect that a component may have been updated and not properly synced with the machine’s T1 chip. Not a deal breaker for me since you just have to type your acct password when performing admin-level functions.

the touch screen is very nice. its my first experience with this type of mac. i can recomend someone to buy.but with battery it doesnt give much time it average to 3 hrs with effective usage

It was always hot even setting it up and running a small fan and eventually stop working 7 months later. Outside of the 30 day warranty. They said it’s the screen has went out!

Tenía miedo por aduana. Decía que tardaría 15 días en llegar, pero llegó en 5 días desde Kentucky creo a mx. Imperceptibles que fuera un producto renew, un rayon tan pequeño que ni se ve aproximadamente de 1 cm. Parece nuevo el producto llevo ya casi 3 semanas con el. Soy estudiante de Diseño y fotografía, la razón por l q compré Mac fue por los programas de adobe. Al ser corei7 tenía muchas esperanzas que corriera rápido. Y así lo es. Tanto photoshop como lightroom lo soporta muy bien. Aún no pruebo adobe premiere así que ese será su prueba de fuego. El cargador no era genérico y aveces no quiere jalar bien. Las 15 pulgadas son perfectas para diseñadores. Tiene huella. Me va encantando. La batería es lo que más deja a desear.

Llego súper bien, sin ningún tipo de daño

Lamentablemente solo prendió al momento de la configuración inicial, y con un cargador diferente al que venía en la caja por qué no funcionaba. Al querer a volver a usar la computadora al día siguiente, no volvió a prender y era evidente que era una computadora previamente mojada ya que se pegaban las teclas como si hubiera sido con algo dulce. Una lástima ya que llego en condiciones estéticas aceptables por él precio (15k) pero no volvió a prender y se tuvo que hacer la devolución.

Bellísimo equipo, sin embargo me tocó mala suerte y el teclado venía dañado, algunas teclas pegadas que hacen complicada la escritura natural con el teclado, lo devolveré y quizá me anime a probar suerte de nuevo.

El producto me llego tarde, llego y estéticamente estaba bien pero 3 días después ya la pantalla no mostraba nada, parece ser que la tarjeta de video dejo de funcionar
