Asobu Mighty Flask Insulated Water Bottle, 40 oz, Red

This bottle is a monster! Yes it holds cold drinks for hours and seems well built except one area. I would give it 5 starts but I am having issues with the lid/cap. When I go to tighten it down it seals off good. Issue is when I go to take the lid/cap off it seems like every other time it fights me. I unscrew it until I know it's clear of threads, go to pull and it's stuck!!!!! When I pull too hard the clear rubber seal that is in the cap itself comes out on one end. Like it's catching in something. I've tried both ways ..a light tight and a SNUG tight but either way it wants to hang!!!! Once I actually pulled too off and rubber seal fell out on ground. It's terrible. Honestly that rubber/seal shouldn't come out at all !! You lose that and your bottle WILL LEAK!!!! Guys I'd be on the fence about this till they fix that issue. I hope they do bc the bottle itself is very nice and workmanship seems great, they just slept on the lid and rubber seal!!!!! The picture included is what it does when it hangs and you have to pull lid off, then you will notice the seal is hanging out like so. Hope this helps!!!!

This bottle is awesome. I've only had it for a few days but I must say it definitely keeps drinks hot/cold. The night I received it I washed it out with hot soapy water, I let it sit over night and in the morning the water inside was still hot. That day after washing it out I loaded it up with ice and water and took it to work with me. The ice survived multiple refills with cold water, and even still had ice and cold water in it the following day. The only downfall of this bottle is the lid, the threads don't seem to want to catch when putting it on.

I bought this as I wanted a LARGE capacity water bottle that you can easily add ice and clean that I could take to the beach and it stay cold. They got all but the last part.Large capacity. At 40oz, it’s bigger than most double insulated bottlesWide mouth for easy cleaning. I can easily clean as I can get a wand dish sponge in there just like a normal albeit long glass.Add normal size ice. I can easily load this up with ice without needing the ice to be small or even having to drop one at a time.Stays cold for extended period. Depends on environment but ultimately no. It will keep ice over 12 hours if you don’t open it much, are in moderate temps and not in the sun. I did some tests starting with filling it with ice to top and added water.Test 1: Left it out in house and didn’t open it for 24 hours.Results: Ice was only 1/3 gone at end of test.Test 2: Used at work/home, opening and drinking from it.Results: Water stayed cold all day but with less than 1/2 the ice left after 12 hours. The more you open and the less full it is the faster the ice melts.Test 3: At the beach in 90 heat and direct sun, ice didn’t last in this for more than 4 hours. I did not keep the lid off; in fact, I opened it as infrequently as possible.If you are not adding a lot of ice, I don’t think this would keep drinks cold long. I did not try this for hot beverages but don’t think it would work well. I would also be concerned with very hot liquids damaging the plastic lid and rubber seal.

The bottle was pretty good, but the plastic piece that holds the lid to the bottle broke within 6 months of use. I contacted Asobu to get a replacement as there's a "lifetime warranty" but apparently that only covers the bottle itself. Pretty sure their CS team is foreign as well, as their English is bad.Wish I'd known about their "lifetime warranty" not being so inclusive. On a similar bottle that I got from another company, they replaced the strap within the first year of owning the product.

This is an awesome double walled vacuum insulated stainless steel bottle. The only reason why it is 4 out of 5 instead of 5 out of 5 is that during the manufacturing process, the individual/machine in charge of the final solder/weld on the bottle to seal it up allowed for small particles of metal to fall between the two sets of walls. This has no affect on the insulation properties, and it does not contaminate my beverages, but when the bottle is turned on its side or something similar, you can hear the small metal particles sliding around between the two layers. Other than this one flaw, I really like this bottle, the particular flaw may be isolated to my purchase, but it is a bit annoying.

I really enjoyed this water bottle, I like to take tea's and coffee with me to work in large amounts however most mugs this size aren't as well insulated as this one. I've had tea in this thing for over 3 hours and it stays just as hot as when I brewed it originally. And I've had the same experience with cold liquids, keeping things ice cold for long periods of time. Literally ice cold, It will keep ice . . . well ice-y for a long time.The construction is also solid, the metal powder coated outside is pretty tough and has withstood all my mistreatment thus far. The lid is also sturdy and with ease, not miss-threading like many other brands. Also with the rising trend in insulated mental water bottles this guy comes in at a very affordable price point.Yeah it might be a little bit large and bulky but then just but a smaller model, this brand is the way to go.

I have a coworker that has the same bottle and loves it. So I decided to order one for the summer. Upon the first day of using I found that sweats ton. And really does not hold in heat or cold very well at all. The bottle looks great and that's why he gets to stars . As well as having a great lid. But the problem is I really don't feel like this is insulated at all, the one the Amazon shipped to me arrived with scratches on it. And I ordered a replacement as well as contacted the company to see if how well my bottle was performing was what they said it should be doing . But there is absolutely no way that this would keep ice or a drink cold for 12 hours . I filled it with a slushy and it was liquid within about three

A manera de prueba, llene por primera vez el termo con agua fría. Pasaron más de 9 horas entre abriendo, bebiendo y cerrando el envase; y apenas si se nota el aumento en la temperatura del agua. Cuando le eché el líquido, pensé que tal vez el envase se pondría tan frío como el líquido o, peor aún, transpiraría. Pero no fue así.Algunos problemas que tuve con el termo es que cuando se moja por fuera, es difícil sujetarlo, se vuelve resbaloso. Si tienes las manos pequeñas, podrías tener problemas para sujetarlo. Además, la tapadera sella muy bien, evita fugas sin problemas. Sin embargo, no resulta fácil beber del termo dado que es pesado y, el diseño de la boquilla no es mi comodidad. Si te pasas del trago, te empaparás todo.A pesar de ser mi primer termo, recomiendo este producto debido a que cumplió con mis expectativas; es de gran capacidad, no transpira, luce bien y, los más importante, mantiene frías las bebidas. No dudo que también destaque manteniendo las bebidas calientes.Espero que esta reseña te haya sido de utilidad.

I wanted a slick, sexy black bottle that was large enough that I didn't have to fill it every 15 minutes... and bam, this is it! I am 100% in love: it's sturdy, very nice to look at, the liquids keep their temperature and it's surprisingly not too big to carry around in backpack/bag. Overall, it's hands down my favourite water bottle that I've used, so for those who hate small quantity bottles, this is a gorgeous solution!EDIT: It's been almost two years and this bottle is STILL going strong! By far, best water bottle of life, I would never ever use any other bottle.

La principal ventaja de esta botella es que cumple con lo que promete:- Mantiene frías tus bebidas por casi un día entero (aún dejando la botella bajo el sol)- Es perfecta para transportar agua y también cerveza- También funciona con bebidas calientes- No es TAN pesadaLe pongo cuatro estrellas porque a pesar de que está hecha de un material resistente, es fácil que su exterior se raye, por lo demás está perfecta.

Si lo que buscas es un termo que mantenga tus bebidas frías o calientes, el termo cumple su función. Mi única queja es en lo que concierne a su presentación exterior. La pintura es extremadamente delicada. El más mínimo contacto con cualquier superficie deja unas marcas que empobrecen la estética del termo. Ponlo en una mochila con cualquier otro objeto aunque sea de plástico no saldrá bien librado. Creo que por el precio la pintura podría haber sido de mejor calidad.

It's heavy, sure, but you can boil dirty water in this (despite being double walled). Don't try that with an aluminum thermos. The 1.1L capacity is great as a 49mg Aquatab (water purifying tablet) treats 1L of dirty water. If you go on day hikes or overnighters, having a thermos like this will save you a lot of potential headaches.Took off a star because the cap attachment is very prone to breaking.
