Yes You Can! Make Stunning Quilts from Simple Patterns

Inspiration jumps off the pages off as I leafed thru this book of pretty, scrap quilts. My mind starts working... shall I make the Virginia Pinwheel pattern using instructions on page 71? I don't own a quilt rack, and am short on time. I turn to page 72 and find yardage and cutting requirments for small, medium, and large quilts. So.... I have chosen the pattern, and size. Now I will look at the color photo of "their" quilt on page 37. Do I want to use the same colors used in the photo? Maybe, maybe not. Maybe I will use bright shades of primary colors. I wonder why this pattern is ascribed to the state of Virginia? Maybe I will use colors, or fabrics that somehow tie into the theme of the quilt block. Must stop writing. Must get to the sewing room. Inspiration does not like to wait!

I had this book in my library, but purchased another copy as a gift for a friend. The patterns are simple, but the instructions are clear and the results are striking.
