Easy to use, great results!
I didn't have any of the issues some of the other reviews had. I followed the instructions--8 cups cold water for the mold, 9 ounces for the cast-- and had a great result. I think some other reviewers might have switched the products or used the wrong water amounts; the mold goes first and the cast (red lettering) goes second. Be patient, leave it to dry long enough, and be careful when removing the mold from the cast! It's so detailed and sturdy. I did it yesterday and I'm still raving about it. I've never had a project turn out this beautifully for how easy it was!

This little kit was perfect!
This little kit was perfect! I made a mold of my hand, open and relaxed, for a school project. The instructions were easy to follow. After reading other reviews, I left my hand in the gel for a few extra minutes just to be safe and it worked perfectly. Wetting your hand before dipping it into the gel worked great. I used the leftover plaster to create a base for the hand sculpture. Incredible detail- I could see each fingerprint, fingernail, and line from my hand! There are just the two bags of powder mix and a plastic bucket included. You need a large mixing bowl and whisk (although I only had a fork and it still turned out great). You will also need to buy your own paint or base if you want.

Amazing!!!
I purchased two of these kits to do with my young grandsons while I was visiting them. I was hesitant that they would actually turn out, and was amazed at the results! The details are incredible and the little boys were amazed as well. I highly recommend doing this.!!

Meh.
Was very cold for my kid’s hand. The mold collapsed in on itself a bit which made it distort when the plaster was in it. Maybe some can get this to work, but it was kind of a bust for us, though it did pick up details like fingerprints and wrist wrinkles.

Great product
Great product, even though our structure broke on certain parts, I think it was ok our end with the mixing. Overall good experience and great for memories.

Decent product
Got this so my boys could cast their hands for their great grandpa's birthday. It was easy enough to set up but it is pretty messy. A tip, think about how you will put your hand in. My boys laid their hands on top of each other. When it was all done the mold was stuck in between their hands and was very hard to remove. Also my oldest sons fingers where very long and wispy looking, like he was being sucked into jumanji.... one of his fingers broke when we gave it to my grandpa. All in all it was a good product that just didn't turn out the way I imagined.

Don’t do it!
Wow. What to say. First, I mixed the water and product for 90 seconds like the instructions said. I ended up with something the consistency of lumpy waffle batter. Try as I might, I couldn’t get rid of the clumps but I got them to as small as I could. Next I poured in the bucket, trying to be quick as it said it would set fast. 25 minutes later, I’m extremely uncomfortable and it’s still slop. About 45 minutes into this nightmare project, it was firm enough I could remove my hands. But I noticed a lot of excess water that I dumped out. I let it sit for several hours despite it saying an hour would be sufficient and it was full of water again. Later that day...I said screw it, this is a disaster so let’s just finish it so I mixed and stirred and poured the next powder stuff into the mold. I let sit all night and there was still water in it but it had been 24 hours so I’m like let’s see what we got. Well, we got ham hocks? Rotting flesh hand perhaps? Not really sure but I would never show that to anyone I know. Thank goodness I wasn’t doing this for anything important. I’m not sure if I’ll try again with a different brand. Maybe once I get over the nightmares.

Works for adults too
The media could not be loaded. I got this for my boyfriend and I to do for our anniversary. We spray painted it after and honestly he loves it as much as I do. It was fun and easy and it looks amazing. I would purchase again.
