Fellow Joey Double Wall Ceramic Coffee Mug - Refined and Sophisticated, Matte White, Single 8 oz Cup

These mugs are wonderful. I use them over a standard diner mug when I really want to sit and enjoy the coffee and its flavors. Recently bought the white one for my wife so we each have one now. I found she was always grabbing for it as well because it’s just such a beautiful, well crafted mug. My older mug still has the fresh copper look without any patina, so it must be lacquered. Looks like the day I bought it even after a few years.

I actually purchased this for my camper van... the construction and shape makes this mug just a little less likely to tip over easily compared to a normal mug. It's also better insulated that a typical cup so your hot beverage will stay a little warmer a little longer. It's weighty in the hand and the shape takes a little getting used to, but overall, an enjoyable way to sip.

OXO makes a very nice stainless steel tea infuser that fits perfectly inside this cup! It's as if the products were designed together. With the OXO tea infuser, this is my favorite set up for drinking tea. My tea stays hot, the cup doesn't burn my hands, and the infuser is a perfect fit. Yeah, it's a little extravagant, but it's worth it. Note: originally I bought this for lattes, but despite the cup looking big, it doesn't hold a lot of liquid and is too small for a solid tall latte. But as a tea cup, it's awesome.

Looks great. And double-wall keeps things warm longer than usual. But the conical shape and heavy weight means that it wants to slip and fall out of your hand when you pick it up, especially when it's heavier with a full cup. It also can't be put in a dishwasher and must be hand washed... which leads to the next problem. When handwashing, the gap between the copper bottom and ceramic top leaves a channel for water to collect in. The next time you raise the mug to your mouth, you'll be drinking your drink but the leftover water in that outer channel might spill on you. You'll be left really confused as to how you spilled on yourself. More for impressing guests than drinking.

These are great cups. Handsome and well-insulated. The double-wall makes it a bit fragile, but not unreasonably so. But, don’t bump it against anything.

Aesthetically and functionally wonderful. We treated it with care but it slipped out of my hands while washing and bumped the edge of our sink and that was that. No more cup. The durability was extremely unimpressive. So it’s a lovely piece of art, but not good for regular use. Makes me very sad.

Like all Fellow things this both pretty & pretty expensive. A few things to consider: - The image has 6 ounces of water in it, 8 full ounces would be right at the brim and a risky proposition. - The small capacity and double wall help to retain heat well. I haven't tried it in the winter yet though so it holds heat well at 80 degrees. I don't see this being an issue in winter though, especially if you pre-heat. - It is deceptively heavy for what it is: nearly a pound. Not a pro or con, just something that was surprising. The lip is also fairly thick, but that makes sense with a double wall. - You could do a v60 directly into it, but you probably wouldn't want to go over 10g of coffee - The diameter of the mouth is smaller than an Aeropress. Not that you'd want to press down on this, but a hover & press gets messy Overall, this is a nice mug albeit a little impractical and expensive. But, like all Fellow products, it is very pleasing to look at. So it depends on what you're looking for. Update: The seal between the metal and ceramic is not...sealed. Water has gotten inside and when I pour hot water in the mug, whatever liquid is in there hisses out in small bubbles. This hasn't been in a dishwasher and is always hand washed right after use so it has not faced any real abuse so far. Not a huge issue, but it brings into question the build quality and since I can't clean the inside I'm not certain what will end up growing in there.

I love the heft, but my girl finds them too heavy for a mug without a handle. I love the look though. Got it in black and white.

Le Joey mantengono la vostra bevanda calda più a lungo, regalandovi il lusso di gustarvela con calma, senza fretta. E la cosa ancora più geniale? L'esterno rimane piacevolmente fresco al tatto, addio ditate bruciate! Ergonomia che ti abbraccia: Nonostante l'assenza di un manico tradizionale, impugnare queste tazze è un'esperienza sorprendentemente confortevole. La forma conica si adatta naturalmente al palmo della mano, offrendo una presa sicura e piacevole. Il peso ben bilanciato le rende solide e rassicuranti, perfette per quei momenti in cui una coccola calda è tutto ciò di cui avete bisogno. Il lato "ma": Certo, non sono perfette per tutti. La loro eleganza richiede qualche attenzione in più: lavaggio a mano obbligatorio (niente lavastoviglie, mi raccomando!) e una certa delicatezza per preservare la bellezza della ceramica. Inoltre, il prezzo le posiziona in una fascia più alta rispetto alle tazze standard, ma se consideratele come un investimento nel vostro piacere quotidiano, il gioco vale assolutamente la candela. In conclusione: Le Fellow Joey da 8oz sono più di semplici tazze: sono un'affermazione di stile, un'oasi di calore e un piccolo lusso che trasforma ogni sorso in un momento speciale. Se siete alla ricerca di un oggetto che unisca design sofisticato e funzionalità impeccabile, preparatevi a innamorarvi di queste piccole opere d'arte per la vostra tavola. Attenzione: creano dipendenza! Una volta provate, difficilmente tornerete indietro.

For such a quality product you would expect the packaging is designed and validated for transport. Clearly not the case.
