yes! it's definitely a good 2-player game, though I enjoy it more with 3-4. If I can make a recommendation for another one as well then check out Citadels. Citadels is great with 2-4 players as well, and though it isn't co-op I really enjoy it. Additionally, Pandemic is an excellent choice of boardgames for a 2-player game as well and is co-op.

how do you play the game? questions is not letting me know the game.

You and the other players try and complete sets of colors, like Go Fish. The catch is, you can't see your cards but can see everyone else's cards. What is the difference between the basic and premium version?

The premium/deluxe version uses mah jongg tiles instead of cards.

Does the lamination on the cards flake off? The previous version we bought flakes a lot and makes us avoid playing this game.

It's my understanding that some of the runs of cards from the Target exclusive deck flaked. I have that deck and don't have that problem. I have not heard anything negative about the R&R Games version
