Great value with some "Things that are hard to figure out, but worth knowing up front"
The media could not be loaded. This is my second Gimbal. I already own a Moza Mini and have really liked it EXCEPT1) The software - Doesn’t show current capture mode well, is very advanced and makes you go 4+ layers deep to change some settings. When I let my wife use it, she loves it if it's ready to go, but really hates going through all the layers of options just to change from time-lapse back to photo or video. (We have lots of time-lapse captures that we wish were videos because of it).2) The battery is 3 hours at best. So, since my videos have improved so much, it’s a fight to use it at the house and I'm always getting it set up. For a Gimbal under $100 that could last up to 12 hours I thought we would give the Cinepeer C11 a try and am really just comparing against what I already have. Why I like it:*Price (Under $75 and a free padded carrying bag when I bought it). The picture makes it look like it comes with a grey case but it’s just the Styrofoam packing from the box, so get the bag.*Quality – this one is still light, but feels very sturdy and metallic all over.*Default settings at power on are where you want them for a new user - Pan follow (Left right = move your body or the handle. joystick only controls up/down)*You can reach all the buttons without adjusting your hand.*I wasn’t sure about it at first, but I love the screw in extension arm. I can balance the gimbal for start up in seconds because I’ve added a pencil line on the arm of the gimbal, and 2 sharpie dots on the case of my phone, so the balance is perfect every time.*Follow me mode and the horizontal adjust modes***** Stuff I wish I knew before I bought it (or was hard to figure out after I bought it).****It doesn’t need a tripod to stay steady because the weight is in the handle, and the handle and base are bigger (probably because of the bigger battery and sturdier construction. The app is called “ZY play”. If you want to know if you will like the software interface you should download it and use it on your camera without a gimbal. (When the app opens select “other compatible devices” then “connect now” but instead of connecting to a gimbal just select “enter now” and you will be in the full featured software (minus the gimbal stuff).First off, the camera mode is always displaying (just like your regular smart phone camera). Without the gimbal connected it’s just a video vs. photo slider with icons, but when the gimbal is connected via Bluetooth, it will show time-lapse, slo-mo, photo, video, etc.*** The C11 DOES HAVE “FOLLOW ME” MODE!! BUT it’s tough to figure out the first time. Here are the steps:• Connect the gimbal to your phone using the ZY play app• Reverse the camera to get into selfie mode• Press the teeeeenie white dot with a small white circle around it (see the photo)• Use your fingers on your phone screen to highlight the part of your face that should be followed (**huge hint** to make follow me work best - highlight a dark/shadowed portion of your face that is surrounded by a contrasting color)• Stay steady while you are close to the gimbal until you mount it on a tripod or set it down, then move away.• Start moving, but pay attention to the physical stops on the axis. IF YOU TRY TO GO BEYOND THE RANGE OF AN AXIS IT COULD CAUSE THE GIMBAL TO SHAKE AND FALL OVER AS THE SOFTWARE DOESN’T KNOW THE PHYSICAL LIMITAlso, without the mode always displaying some of the other multi-click features of the gimbal would drive you crazy.BUTTONS: At first look, you would think it can’t do everything it advertises with so few buttons, or if I want to get those features I’ll have to constantly be pressing the screen. However, keep in mind all of the buttons except the joystick do different things if you press them 1,2 or 3 times or long-press the button.MODE The biggest button to learn is the mode. The gimbal starts in pan follow (only up/down is controlled by the joystickThe instructions on how to get between modes in the booklet are good, but the display doesn’t tell you which mode you are in, you just have to remember.On/off the button is also the camera shutter or start/stop video recording button if you press it quickly. Press it long 2-3 seconds and you just powered off (I haven’t inadvertently powered off yet, but am sure it is coming).Zoom ***A LONG HOLD OF THE ZOOM BUTTON WILL CHANGE YOUR CAMERA MODE*** I’m not sure if this one is a deal breaker or not, but I have inadvertently changed out of camera mode into video mode while trying to zoom (it won’t switch out of video mode for a long press, it just doesn’t zoom at all). The instructions say to short-press to zoom which is fine for camera mode, but annoying in video mode so if you are trying to zoom in or out a lot, I’d suggest pinch zoom on your camera screen instead of using the zoom on the handle. I'm still in the learning curve for this one, so maybe I'll get smooth with the on handle zoom button.*****Firmware update - the cinepeer.com site is in Chinese but google translates the page fine (simplified chinese) however, the downloads are not in any file type that is recognized by an American PC or Mac (no extension on the files). Looks like all the firmware would do is re-calibrate if you went completely battery dead and lost the gimbal software. As long as it’s working don’t bother.*****

Amazingly smooth footage for an entry level Gimbal
The media could not be loaded. I am glad with the purchase of the new Cinepeer Gimbal almost a week back. I already own another Gimbal from Zhiyun which is Smooth Q bought few months ago. When I wanted to buy one more, started researching and came across this revised one powered by Zhiyun. I got it last week and it turns out that my choice was not wrong. Overall this works fine. Based on my time I used it, wanted to share few thoughts about the gimbal.Pros------------------Modes - Pan-Follow mode is amazing and it gives super filmy feel to the videos. It provides a smooth pan horizontally and vertical angle you need to set manually. There are other two modes Locked Mode and Full Follow modes. The details about how to switch modes is clearly mentioned in the manual.Joystick Controller - This 4 way controller is super smooth and you can change the directions like a piece of cake. It flawlessly changes the angles. The best thing is the speed of turns can be set using the APP depends on the shot type you need.Battery - I could not find the capacity of the battery anywhere, but I am seeing a pretty good battery recharge cycle so far as mentioned in the product page as 4000mAh. I still need to confirm the 12h claim in the advertisement and will update my review after few weeks of my use.Mobile charging power bank - This is available with many other gimbals as well but worth to mention as the gimbal can power the phone during long hours of shooting. And the charging works only when the Gimbal is ON. ZY Play App - The App is available to install for Android and Apple phones. App is kind of an average one in look and feel, but you dont believe, it can seriously manage the entire gimbal. It can pair with the gimbal using bluetooth and control its movements, take pics and videos, set object tracking-which follows an object etc etc. The app is updated in regular intervals for bug fixes and enhancements.Configurable axis speed - I noticed that the APP provides the option to set the speed/angle of rotation for the 3 axis motors which will help the users decide the roll/pan/tilt speeds of the gimbal.Object follow mode - There are several features that are offered by the APP like Object tracking mode which works seamlessly. It allows you to mark an object in the App and when the object moves in the field the gimbal itself tracks the object by auto roll/pan/tilt of its axis.Remote Control - I tried to control the gimbal with the app connected by bluetooth with another phone mounted on it. This helps to remotely control the gimbal.Ergonomics - The shape is very handy and it suits to any size hand and not causing any pain after long term shooting. The material is lightweight and at the same time gives the feel of a metal construction with textures.Weight - The handle is made up of a very light material, but is very sturdy and light weight. The weight is bearable for single hand operation for long time.Optional Bag - There is an optional free bag you can add while purchasing it from the special offers section which is a nice pouch to carry the gimbal during your trips.Firmware update is possible by connecting to computer, so you are not out of date. Cons------------------Material - Gimbal is not Metalic like DJI Osmo v1's Magnesium Alloy (Not a big deal)Fragile - Do not drop as it may damage the motors id it hits them hard. (Same case with almost all gimbals in market)Mobile with flat back works well than curved ones.Need to Caliberate the motors after several uses which is an easy process with the App or connected to website online.Supports mobile phones less than 6", but works with most action cameras.I have posted a video footage with the gimbal and my mobile phone (end of my video). The cinematic features dolly zoom, object tracking, panorama, timelapse, motionlapse and hyperlapse are features you can explore by the APP after connecting the gimbal. They are absolutely stunning (provided the mobile camera is also good :). Resolution may depend on the phone model )Considering all the above features, it is absolutely a great deal for the price. I feel that this would be a good addition to my photographic gadgets and looking forward to my next trip for a full use of it.I am not seeing the cons very seriously as I have workarounds for all of them. So I gave all stars for the product. This is one of the best entry level gimbals for anyone. Hope you will find these notes useful.

Nice gimbal for smaller phones
Bought this for my wife to use with her phone. Unfortunately, it wouldn't work because of her phone size and weight. This is not meant for a large phone such as a Samsung S10. Tried it with my phone and it would barely work because my phone is large also, but it did work. Everything works like it should. Instructions are a kind of basic, but understandable.

Look for something better, doesn't last.
**Update - lasted 11 months, no longer holds a charge. I've charged it overnight for 3 nights in a row, it lasts almost 14 minutes and shuts down. Company wants forms filled out with pictures and video in order to provide an RMA to go back to China for review. Not worth the hassle for a $60 gadget. I've used this gimbal maybe 10 times over the past year. Never been dropped, always stored and transported in the styrofoam it was originally shipped in. Save your money, buy something else.Using the button to rotate is really slow. Has another feature that allows you turn manually turn with the shot and still stay very stable. For the price, it's good quality.
