Bang for buck
Pros.* Build quality is top notch. Metal all-round you will love the feel of it. Very compact.* Triple cold shoe mounts for accessories.* Can power certain mics for a better sound boost.* Record two different mics at the same time which makes it great for podcasting.Cons.* Not an amp. This is basically just a mixer and nothing more.* 3.5mm aux cable included is short and the quality doesn't feel as premium at the mixer itself but it hasn't broken on me yet.* Battery aren't rechargeable so you have to change the AAA's when done.*The headphone jack only monitors the recording in real time but doesn't play it back if you want to listen to your recording after the fact.Overall I would absolutely recommend this product to any person who wants to have a recording of more than one mic, be able to monitor the recording and so on.

No More Syncing Audio in Post!
I normally wait a couple of weeks before writing a review. But this guy saved me. My external recorded died and I had to film several interviews this week. I had to travel, and travel light. So I shoot on my Sony A7Sii (single audio input) and of course my Zoom died days before I left. I needed to get something quick and I figured this would be a good alternative to syncing up in post (also had to cut a quick RC on the road). So the Comica looked like the right tool for the job. And it was! Did a test to make sure ECR worked before I hopped my flight ( in the airport now waiting to head home). Worked like a champ! Clean audio. The included shoe mount is a screw on the bottom of the unit. But if you have a cold show-cold shoe you can actually mount it from any side, as well as mount a boom mic or light directly to the unit.

Simple Way To Control Your Audio
Right from the jump let me say that this unit does not boost your audio signal, it is not an amp, what it does is control the input level from your audio source to the recording device that you are using. If you ever wanted to get the most control and the cleanest audio this mixer is a great cheap option for it. The mixer comes nicely packaged in a small box inside a nice foam cut out. There is no included bag but at this price point it is somewhat understandable but you have to consider that a con because many companies are able to do that with cheaper products. The foam cutout that the mixer comes in can be used to transport the device if needed. The mixer comes with a 3.5mm audio jack to connect it to your recording device, a cold shoe adapter and the instruction manual which is a must read. The mixer is well made, with a metal housing and 3 cold shoe connections on the top and 2 on each side to connect your audio devices or even lights. The volume controls and audio outputs are located on the back and the audio input jacks along with the control switches are located on the front. There is a 1/4 screw on the bottom of the unit to connect the mixer to pretty much anything. The mixer is powered by 2 AAA batteries which is the only con I can think of. The battery compartment is kind of flimsy and can be a tad bit difficult to get out and I can see it being broken if someone is not careful opening it. I think this unit would have been much better with a rechargeable battery so you would not have to worry about carrying batteries around. With only one flaw I would still recommend this mixer to anyone who is serious about audio. I used it while shooting an interview outside with a dual wireless mic system and was able to cut out so much background noise and get the vocals at a clear level that I previously would not have been able to. It has a permanent spot in my audio bag now.

Convenient audio mixer for capturing sound for your camera.
When making You Tube videos far and away the biggest time-consuming chore is mating up your audio with the video. Syncing needs to be done precisely. The one way to avoid that chore is to record your audio directly into the camera. Having a good sounding microphone, or in my case wireless lavaliere mic or two when I have a guest is the best way to do that. With this mixer, and it is a mixer you have the option to plug in more than one mic. The camera you are using requires a mic input. The specs on this are really clean because it is not an amplifier so there is very little if any noise being generated. This may seem trite but I also like the idea of when being on a shoot, I am not just holding a little tiny camera like my DJI Osmo Action camera. That's an awesome camera with one of the best image stabilizations in the industry, but when you are charging something for the shoot, have bundled gear, enlarging the overall landscape of equipment is desirable. I have the Tascam DR 60 with XLR mic inputs and a wide array of options, but that costs several times this price. This unit with the stereo or mono mic input options provides the essentials as to what you need. It doesn't come with a carrying case but the box it comes in is well padded with a foam surround and doesn't take up much space in your camera bag.I really like that it comes with 3 hot shoes so you can for example have a shotgun mic left, and shotgun mic right, and still have like the photo illustrates to top hot shoe for mounting a video monitor screen. Overall, a nice unit, for a nice price.
