The plan for this faucet was to replace the faucet on a utility sink with something that was a little jazzier and modern looking, as well as more useful and with more reach than the original old fashioned 1960s era spigot.Opening the box - all the parts were there and things looked pretty good. All the parts that should be metal were metal and seemed relatively solidly built - including the 3-hole cover (optional to use). For the materials and build quality, things seem fine as a mid-range quality faucet. After installation, everything was working fine, no leaks, and the controls on the faucet head all worked fine and had a solid quality about them.The 3 star review is primarily on the instructions, which didn't seem very complete and we had to puzzle out quite a bit. Plus, one or two of the steps were pretty difficult for DIY (and were missing from the steps in the instruction sheets.PROS: (BUILD and LOOKS) 1) Looks snazzy, joints seem welded OK, all metal and shiny 2) Faucet head works fine (spray, direct, stop-water button) 3) No leaks after install 4) hole-covering base cover included and is made of metal (we didn't use it) 5) The base rotates as expected and 6) Faucet head can be detached from its holder to reach all directions in the sink.Note - this unit does not have an 'extendable' or 'retractable' hose. The hose length is fixed.CONS: (INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS and DIY following them 1) Difficult to attach the hot/cold hoses to the hot-cold connections way up inside the faucet body. 2) The steps necessary to attach these hoses was not described/mentioned in instruction sheet 3) Other steps also a bit unclear from instruction sheet.Comparing the parts to the instruction sheet gave us a few puzzles. There are two somewhat similar looking black rubber gaskets (but quite different from each other on instruction sheets). The instruction sheet cautions that as they improve and tweak the parts, there would be differences that printed version might not yet capture. That's fair enough, but we were more disappointed in the missing steps. We could figure out which gasket went where OK.I received this faucet for free under the vine program. This is my complete and honest review of the product.
