JAPANESE STORIES FOR LANGUAGE LEARNERS
P**.
Nice book!
Japanese Stories for Language Learners is an excellent resource. Though it's a little advanced for me at present, with the help of the notes and English text, I can slowly read the stories. Meanwhile, the accompanying CD lets you hear them being read, aiding with aural comprehension and pronunciation. I plan to go through this book once now but then return to it again once my studies advance, so I can attempt to read more without help from the English translation and notes.

I love the book but there are only 5 storyI want to read more stories to better my language knowledge .Best part of this book is that it gives example of sentence of word that little difficult to understand and if there is repetition of kanji then skipped the furigana that kind of renforce you to remember kanji reading

For learners at intermediate and advanced levels
This book was just what I was looking for! If you are a beginner it might be hard to read, but if your up for the challenge I say go for it.. The book has the Japanese text on one page and the next page is the English version for easy comparison. It also has vocabulary words to help with unformular terms, so that helps. There are 5 stories in total, and after each story there are discussion questions to get you thinking about the story. Overall glad to add this book to my collection.

Libro para intermedios.
Este libro lo recomiendo para personas nivel intermedio en el idioma, las historias las encuentro muy pesadas para alguien principalmente N5, siento las letras un poco chicas, se me dificulta un poco leer los kanjis con la letra tan pequeña, las historias son buenas, mi preferida es la del hilo de la araña, si eres principiante te recomiendo short stories for beginners De lingo mastery.

After years of studying, I finally got to enjoy reading Japanese thanks to this book!
Having a level close to JLPT N3, this book was perfect for me: finally content to read that matches my level AND is thrilling enough to keep me hooked (as opposed to other over-simplified material or NHK easy news 😴). And the stories are adapted from well-known classic Japanese folktales, so you also get into this important cultural aspect of Japan.- Furigana well balanced (appearing about once per page), so you are not lost, but also forced to train your memory.- Useful vocabulary and grammar points at the end of each chapter, removing need for dictionary or external grammar reference while reading- Comprehension/Grammar questions at the end, with answersIn short: I love it! Will there be a volume 2??
