So these lights are absolutely great, I just got them today and tried them out. A few of these reviews say there are problems with the battery box. I was a little scared that I would have the same problem but no, I think they may have updated the design of the box because it was actually very easy to open. The box has two little latches that hold it closed and they are very easy to move so you can place and replace batteries, but they are secure so you can be sure that the box won't just open spontaneously. The box also has 3 features, as described -- off/on/flashing.Another problem addressed in other reviews was that the bulbs were glued insecurely and had stray bits of glue sloppily surrounding them. My lights did not have this issue at all, and I ordered two sets. In fact, the bulbs seem surprisingly robust (I definitely wouldn't take my chances with water) and they all seem very secure in place. Definitely won't fall off.Also, the actual bulbs are white. Not a yellowish color, but the light given off is (MMMMMMNNNGGHHH SO PRETTY ) a very warm and aesthetically pleasing yellowish hue. It's very nice and will surely give any room a warm and comfortable feel. The bulbs also do nicely to create a bright light that isn't hard to look at. They give off a pretty solid glow but aren't harsh on the eyes. Very pleased with that.The pictures posted in reviews and on the listing are definitely accurate. My lights look just like that.Really the only problem I had with these lights was that in the battery box, there had been two springs facing each other and two stubs facing each other. However, this really wasn't even a problem as the spring and stubs could actually be taken out very easily. So I just switched them around and they were fine. Easy fix, literally done in a couple of seconds, don't worry about it if your lights have this problem.So yeah these lights are awesome. I love them and can't wait to get them hung up around my room. 10/10 would recommend. I hope this review was helpful and you can enjoy a set of these lights too!

This is my 2nd time buying these lights, and I'm very happy with them. They work well for both indoors and outdoors use. They're durable, look nice, and are a pretty good value. I bought 1 set for our work/party shed, and 1 set for my 4yo's bedroom.I love that it is both dimmable and has adjustable speeds for the blinking settings. The remote control is very convenient. However my 4yo and I found the on/off buttons to be a little confusing/counterintuitive. Why are there separate On and Off buttons? On is red and Off is green - isn't it usually the other way around?

The lights come in a small cardboard box. They were fairly easy to untangle. What I feared from reading the other reviews is that the battery box is pretty cheap. Mine pretty much came broken. The piece that most people have been saying is missing, mine kept popping out each time I would put the batteries in. However, I made it work by quickly closing the lid before it could pop out and the lights still turn on (so try that before returning them). If you are planning to use these for outdoors, I do not recommend. The battery box is so cheap and poorly made; I'm not sure that it would be protected for outdoor weather. That is my only complaint. The lights themsleves are small and danity but perfect for decoration use indoors. The lights themselves are not bright, so don't buy these if you are planning to use them as extra lighting in the room. I was able to use command hooks to hang the lights up and so far, I love the way it look. I also used a command strip to place the battery box on my wall. I hid it behind my tapestry so you cannot see in my picture. They take 3AA batteries.

I love these lights! I bought these for a camping trip to add a little something extra to our canopy and they were amazing. Each strand uses three AAA batteries and I was worried they would burn out quickly if we left the lights on for hours at a time but so far I have yet to replace the batteries even with daily use. I have so many great things to say about these lights, seriously. First, they're durable. We had ours hanging on our rain canopy which was placed over a picnic table while out in the redwoods up in Northern California. It was cold and it was pouring rain for most of our trip and the lights were fine. No bulbs or batteries burnt out and the lights came home in great condition. On top of that, I've been using them on a tiny Christmas tree I have at my office so the lights have been merrily blinking away for 7-8 hours a day since Dec. 1 or 2 and I'm still on the original batteries. Seriously, I'm really impressed. The bulbs themselves are bigger than your average modern string lights but I like that because they have that kind of vintage look to them.

After about a week of having them installed with fresh batteries (and only having them on for 5 minutes at a time to take pictures on three different days), the lights started to dim and flicker. At this point, I don't turn them on, because when I do, it's so dim and flickery that it seems either like a circuit problem, or maybe they just suck battery really quickly?That, and the light is VERY yellow. Now I love yellow lights, and much prefer them to white lights, but these are like. A yellow that doesn't match the gold yellow of other yellow lights. They were very calming and beautiful when they were the only things lit in the house, but again, they really didn't last long at all.And in case anyone is wondering, the bulbs themselves are really quite small, maybe just an inch in diameter, and are glued onto the LED string. Not a problem or an aesthetic issue, just thought I'd share that.If the circuits were better, or the battery life with these lights lasted more than a total of 15 minutes or so (in a way that would let me relax by a soft yellow glow in the evenings!), I'd love these more. Christmas lights have better life, even though you have to plug them in, so take your pick! If you're ok with replacing the batteries often, I don't see why this is a product you should avoid.
