It is my second TEG-S24D, first lost middle bank after lighting hit something close to my house.I was happy with first one and I am happy so far with this one. Works great. I am streaming UHD movies around a house from my server without a glitch.Most switches are designed for racks with connectors in front. This one is among very few with connector on the back, what I prefer in home installations.Recommended.

So far it is working great. I moved up from a 8port switch, and was looking for more ports but didn't like the size of most of the bigger 16port switches. This one was great since it has the ports on top of each other keeping the footprint down to only a little bigger than my original 8port switch. Plus I was looking for something that had the status lights on the front and the ports and power on the back which this one fit the bill completely. I'm getting the max speed available for my selected network providers speed, so I'm happy with that. No uplink port to have to deal with, just plugged into my existing network and worked perfectly.

I brought this to replace an Airlink 8 port 1GB switch that was currently being used as my Garage/Home Office Switch due to needing more open ports. Having brought A TRENDnet switch before (TEG-S16DG, 1GB X 16 ports, metal case) It was pretty much a no brainier, the only difference between this model and the one I brought previously is it's plastic instead of metal and the port indicator are on the front instead of both the port indicator and ports being all in the back. It makes the switch easier to place when both things are on different ends of the switch.As with the TEG-S16DG model it is about the most straight forward device you could ever buy. No software to load, No configuration changes to be made, and best of all No assembly required. Just take out of the box, plug it in the wall of were you are going to permanently place it, connect your compatible CAT 5E or CAT 6 Network Devices to the switch, and your done. It has a LED Front panel that tells you when your Network Device is connected & which port (If it's Amber your connected at 10/100mps and green your connected at 1gps) and the Ethernet ports are located directly on the back.The absolute best thing about this device is the price. For the Quality, sturdy construction, and ease of use of this device I've seen other name brands goes as high as $200 Bones, 6 years ago I paid approximatily a $110 for the TEG-S16DG, and now as of this writing it just around $60.I would highly recommend this device not only for home and small office but for you medium to big businesses as well.

TRENDnet TEG-S16G (version 1.1R). Simple to use unmanaged 10/100/1000 16-port network switch. Front-facing LEDs indicate individual port connection speed, jumbo frame support (up to 9216 Bytes), auto-MDIX, fanless/quiet, auto port power management for green energy savings. Case is made of white plastic with two (wall?) mounting holes on the bottom. Also included is four small adhesive rubber feet for desktop surface. The power cord seems a little short but not too short. This item was delivered with no shipping packaging, only the product box with the plastic around the box like when picked-off a store shelf, the shipping label affixed to the plastic cover. This item has a rattling sound coming from inside the switch, very noticeable, maybe even two pieces of something rattling around in there. The product price seems reasonable and the switch seems to be working fine at the moment. Deduct one star for rattling inside the switch, no deductions for not having been shipped within a shipping container is this is the shipper's decision and not a product flaw.

This gigabit switch has 16 ports which works great if you have several Bitminers, media players, printers, and other Ethernet devices. This is literally plug and play. The hardest problem is making sure that the cables are long enough. The lights are on the front and the cables plug in the rear. Nice and so far it works great!

I had an old 10/100 rack mount switch as the backbone of my network, which worked reasonably well. Though my wife would occasionally complain about the speed of the Internet, even though our Internet connection is only like 75Mpbs download. We both have noticed a huge bump in network performance when I swapped it out for the TRENDnet 16-Port GREENnet Switch. Transferring Gigabytes of data from one computer to another takes seconds now, Internet is more responsive even with 2 devices streaming, a VPN connection, surfing the Internet all while phones and tablets are connected to the wifi router. It's faster, lighter, and less power hungry then my old switch.

I work as a field tech in some of the top 500 companies' data centers. I repair & install systems. When installing systems, I sometimes have to re-image systems with correct version of software. This 16-port switch works great for that purpose. The switch is small enough to carrier in my bag. I can plug it into the data center racks which typically run at 240V, so I don't have to worry about damaging the switch by applying wrong voltage.

I am unimpressed. This unmanaged switch is unable to handle network traffic on my home network without being plugged into a different unmanaged switch (the link light does not illuminate). I have a conventional residential setup where the RG (residential gateway) also serves as the router and handles all of the NAT and addressing. This switch should be able to operate in that environment, but it is unable to make the connection to the RG. This switch will connect to the devices it serves and will display their link speeds and activity, but will not connect those devices to my RG. Strangely, it will work / handle network traffic (and access to the Internet) when it is plugged into the switch it was supposed to replace, but only at 10/100 mbps (not the gbps the manufacturer says it will handle). This is not the first negative experience I have had with Trendnet, but it will be the last.

Répond totalement à mon besoin: siliencieux, ports 1GO /100MO /10MO avec led affichant le type de connexion. Fonctionne depuis 3 semaines sans soucis.Parfait !

Have had an TRENDnet 8 port gigabit green switch for a number of years and it has been bullet proof. Like its predecessor, this 24 port iteration is totally plug and play and is working without a problem. I imagine I will receive many years of service from this switch.

Purtroppo presenta un difetto veramente seccante, la porta cui ho collegato l'access point UAP-AC-LR sporadicamente si blocca completamente, anche se stacco il cavo continua ad essere bloccata fino a quando non spengo e riaccendo lo switch, ho cambiato la porta e il cavo ma la situazione non cambia, le 3 stelle sono dovute al fatto che la cosa è risaputa da oltre un anno e non è stato prodotto nessun aggiornamento, il blocco avviene almeno una volta al giorno ed avendo io collegato in wi-fi tutta la domotica di casa ho dovuto restituirlo.

Der ungemanagte Gigabit-Switch kommt in der Farbe weiß daher. Mal was anders als das sonstige dominierende schwarz.Der Switch funktioniert problemlos mit allen angeschlossenen Geräten auch mit dem Fire-TV! Bei mir hängt neben dem Fire-TV u.a.auch noch das TV-Gerät, das Radio und ein NAS mit am Switch, alles funktioniert wie erwartet.Beim Kopieren von Daten über das Netzwerk gehen die Daten mit Gigabit-Transferraten (bis über 100MiB/s) über das Netz, wenn beide Seiten das schaffen. Dazu sollte natürlich auch die Verkabelung passen.Weiterhin ist auch sehr gut, daß der Switch lüfterlos arbeitet und somit keine Geräusche verursacht. Erwähnenswert ist noch, daß er ein externes 12V-Netzteil hat.Nachteiliges: bisher nichts dergleichen
