Extra Fine

I just happened to find this brush pen by accident and fell into love with it right away. You see, I have been writing Chinese for a long time but could yet find any ball pens that can write Chinese smoothly and effortlessly until I came upon this pen. This pen can be held just like a regular ball pen and yet its brush is hard enough to write like a ball pen but soft enough to display the final Chinese characters close to those that were written with a traditional (soft) brush pen. (see pic of two Chinese sentences using to celebrate the coming Chinese New Year, Year of the Dragon, 2/10/2024 that I wrote with this pen) Unlike the Pentel brush pens, which cost more but their brushes are too soft, can only be held like traditional brush pens (i.e. perpendicularly) which will take years of practice to master. Therefore, if you are beginners with brush pens or those like me who would like to use a brush pen like a regular ball pen, you would be doing yourself a favor in getting this pen. I actually ordered several more of this pen and a set of five (different thickness of brush) of this brush pen. You can simply use them like disposable pens since they are cheap enough. I really want to find color brush pens made by this company for writing, but could only find those that were made for water color drawings, which are not fit for writing.

Love using this in my Hobonichi Cousin. Smooth on paper, comfortable to hold, and ideal in every way.

The pen arrived as promised and was exactly as described. I used it for my art assignment and found it to be an excellent tool for my purposes.

I use this for inking drawings. It takes a little getting used to, but I like it!
