Backcountry Access Tracker S Avalanche Beacon + Avalanche Probe

So far so good.

Love the harness and the size of this Tracker S. Bought this to replace my original Tracker, have used the new one on a few practice searches with my buddies, and I love it ease of use. A few buddies have other higher end models, including other brands, and we notice no difference in its use.

I purchased two of these and then had avalanche training the following week. They worked great and in my opinion are a must if you plan on being in deep snow conditions. Thanks!

This is a lower end model, but for the price it just works. Always checks out fine during gear checks before heading out, never had an issue.

Easy to use, worked well at a recent snow training class.

Well hopefully I will never have to use this, but I know that if I did I could easily find wherever any other burried is. Distance astonishingly accurate, easy to follow arrows as well.

Buyers Beware!!! The cable on the probe snapped on the first day of use on an avalanche rescue course. Fortunately it broke on a field exercise and not in the event of an avalanche rescue or it could have resulted in a death. I purchased this thinking BCA is a credible and reliable brand which is absolutely necessary with this line of equipment. This is obviously not the case. I will be purchasing the black diamond probe as a replacement.
