Bike saddles are very much an individual choice... what one person finds amazing, another will think is like sitting on a rusty saw blade. It really all comes down to your specific shape and how it fits the saddle. Having said that, this ISM saddle gives a great ride. It was my first split-nose saddle. Although these are typically used by triathletes, I have mine on my "regular' Felt road bike and it works great. The split nose takes just enough pressure off the right (wrong?) places, making it very comfortable to ride for long trips. It is even okay on long trainer rides, where your ass can really take a beating in a short time. The saddle is well made, has just the right amount of cushioning, and is light-weight enough to not make a noticeable difference in the overall weight of the bike. Give it a try, it may or may not be perfect for you, but it's a solid choice and worth trying.

Yes, it's supposed to be narrow!
Look, if you rate this low because it's "too narrow" or "uncomfortable" then you don't understand professional bike saddles and you don't understand how ratings work. Bike saddles are very special parts of the bike and require precision fitting. This saddle is narrow (just like it states!). If my IT was narrower this would have been a perfect fit. It is excellent craftsmanship and the "squish" of the padding was perfect. Again, each person needs their own fit and what's right for me isn't necessarily right for another. I would guess that this would be best for individuals with much narrower hips such as most athletic women and smaller-framed men. DO NOT BUY THIS if you think it's automatically supposed to feel wonderful. This isn't a comfort seat for a beach cruiser.

Narrowest saddle I’ve found really comfortable in tri position
Triathlon racing and training. Little light on padding but love the width

Great saddle
This saddle I have found to work great for keeping pressure off the perineal area and prostate area. The saddle is smooth so you can slide a little forward and back to augment your riding. The seat also is easier to mount on and get off seat without catching your bike pants, which is more of a problem as you age!

Great for trainer, but takes some getting used to
I got this to use on a stationary trainer. I was having chafing problems with a traditional narrow saddle. This saddle and the way you sit on it fixed that problem. Be aware: you are going to be sitting on a different part of your anatomy and that takes some time to get adapted to.

Great seat.
Bought this seat for my wife's road bike. She previously had her selle italia saddle on her bike and would be sore after long rides. I have ism saddles on all my bikes. I let her try one of my saddles. She loved it. So far no matter how far we ride she does not have saddle sore. This style seat do take a few rides to get set up just right and let your body get used to the new sitting position.

Saves the lady parts!
The saddle that came with my tri bike was about as uncomfortable as a saddle could get shy of just being a post! I did a lot of research and spoke with several more experienced triathletes and decided this one met my needs: more padding and a design that took pressure off the lady parts! I've done several long rides with it and although it's taken some getting used to, I really like it! Tip: go to the manufacturer's web site and watch their videos on how to install. They also have a wonderful chart that will help you choose the right saddle for you (because it's a VERY personal choice!).

Game Changer!
Followed the set-up instructions and then made a few adjustments on the road and, like magic, it feels perfect. With my stock Specialized seat all the pressure was on my soft tissue, irregardless of setting up or down on aerobars, and after 10 miles of dialing this seat in all the pressure went to my butt bones, exactly where it should be.I decided to change because I got a urinary tract infection (UTI) after a week of riding about 100 miles. I did some research and people who cycle are more prone to UTI's, especially if all the saddle pressure is pushing on their soft tissue. Now that I have this seat dialed-in I can start riding confidently again, no thoughts of another UTI.
