Drips and webs !
I wish customers weren’t so willing to accept mediocrity. I have been using glue guns for decades. Years ago, you never had an issue with those annoying glue strings or glue webs (as I call them). But now, you CANT FIND a gun or sticks that don’t have this issue. It’s sooooo annoying! And having to remove them cuts down on my productivity - as I have a crafting biz. Reviews on this Stanley were good, so i thought I’d try it. Plugged it in and in no time a mound of glue was on my counter. And the glue webs were there too. Grrrrrr. This one was worse than the Surebonder. I have seen all kinds of suggestions on keeping this from happening . Use Vaseline on the tip...use a hot blow dryer...release the trigger , then do this twirly thing to break it off . That’s not the solution. Complain to these manufactures until they make a better product. They worked just fine back then. Why shouldn't they again?!!!

Cheap, effective gun with wobbly stand and short cord
Decent quality glue gun that serves its purpose admirably. Heats up quickly and has no problem melting the glue sticks. This is a very very basic model with essentially zero options, but to be honest a glue gun that works is all you need for 99% of projects. There's only a single heat setting, and no on/off switch. Once it's plugged in, it's heating up, so don't forget about it.This kit comes with 6 standard glue sticks and 6 "heavy duty" glue sticks. I couldn't really tell much difference between the 2 types, but I'm no expert on glue. Two minor complaints which lead to my 4 star review: first the stand that folds out of the gun is extremely wobbly, and I end up always just setting it on its side as the stand won't keep it upright unless it's perfectly balanced. Secondly, the cord is a bit short for my liking. Combined with the wobbly stand, the short cord leaves this glue gun unsteady. Also a minor concern is the fact that when left sitting on the stand for a bit, the glue starts to drip out, though this kit comes with a nice silicon pad to put the gun on and catch any dribbles.Overall, this is an inexpensive and perfectly adequate glue gun for small projects. It's minor flaws are excusable as they don't really harm its effectiveness as a tool.

Pretty much the worst glue gun I've owned
Pretty much the worst glue gun I've owned. Glue sticks got stuck in the center area and never ended up coming out on the "heated" side. It was super cheap so I know I can't expect much but considering that I paid $5 or $6 dollars for it, it was like throwing a 5 dollar bill on the ground. Wouldn't recommend.

Works great! It heats up very fast
Works great! It heats up very fast, stays nice and hot while it's plugged in, has a built-in collapsible stand for keeping it upright while in use, and is easy to grip. It also comes with a small rubber mat to set the hot unit on--this was a nice surprise as I didn't realize it came with the product. That mat is actually indispensable for catching any dripping glue as it's so easy to peel off the glue once it's dry.My only complaint is that it seems to ooze out a small amount of glue if you leave it plugged in for a long time. I suspect this is true of most hot glue guns though, and might be easily avoided by unplugging the unit between rounds of use.

Nice glue gun, was much better at the lower price.
This is a great basic glue gun. It does everything I need. That said, the price is $14.99 as I write this review and when I purchased it, it was less than 1/5th of that price. I love it at the lower price point and I am glad I got two (one for my office and one for my home), but at the current price I would have only bought one.

This item is HOT HOT HOT!
Holy Hit Glue Gun Batman! This bad boy does not even play! It heats up quickly and lives up to its expectations. The extra strength glue that I got works really well for projects that need to LAST. I got this at a great price and feel like it is n incredible value. Thank you!

pretty good glue gun for the most part.
it works quite well for craft projects. My only Beef is that the cord is TOO short, so I always have to use an extension cord. Secondly, the little pull out stand is weak, and my old one broke off. You can't use this gun without a stand, it gets too hot on the sides. So, I had to buy a 2nd one.other than those 2 complaints, I really enjoy using this glue gun, and have had no other issues.

exactly as described - works great
this was a replacement for an old commercial glue gun - not quite as fast but gets the job done just fine.
