Pair this with a USB socket breakout, add some DIP header, and create unique parts
The holes line up with the USB socket breakout from the same supplier and with a short piece of pin header, I was able to create a USB power blocker. D+, D-, and GND pass through, but Vbus does not. Why? I have one of those 3D printers that tries to draw power from the USB port when it's own power supply is shut off. This means the Raspberry Pi running OctoPrint is being subjected to brown-outs. My DIY device puts a stop to that. I now have enough leftover parts to make nine more of these. Good times, good times!
