Just the right size
Exactly what I needed for a number 12 wood screw. Most sets that you can buy do not include this large size. And I must admit this is only the third time in the last 12 years or so that I needed that size. Now I have one so far works just as it should.

I usually only buy S.E Vick Products, but I could not find one in a size #12, with the hex shank. This is a close second (if not equal) to the original Vix bits. Never buy a cheap self centering bit, as the wood particles get caught between the spring loaded housing and the bit, causing you to have to clean it out after almost every hole--Extremely frustrating, and you will be putting a lot of money int the "cursing jar", Ha, Ha!

Perfect holes for hinges
These work amazingly well. I’ve usually used a center punch and drill and never been happy with the results.The photo shows results in white oak.One caution is to check the tightness of the drill set screw before using.

First rate centering bit...
This is a first-rate quality self-centering bit; every bit as good as the ones made by S.E. Vick Tool. Cheaper centering bits can have too much play between the bit and the centering sleeve. The bit in this Snappy model has no side-to-side play at all, meaning the drill will cut dead center. Outstanding quality.
