THEC64 MicroComputer User Manual

This book is just a nice hardcover copy of the PDF manual for the newly released C64 computer. The manual is available to download for free on the Retro Games website.To be honest the content of the manual while perhaps useful initially doesn't really stand out as being a worthwhile purchase to have a hardcopy. I mistakely had gotten the impression that this Manual would cover things like a guide to programming the C64 in basic and such like, it doesn't.Download the PDF and preview it for yourself to see what you think before you buy.

This book covers all the new features in thec64.It does NOT teach any programming though. Do buy it read it, along with the quick start guide, then explore the many books related to the original c64, as you need them.I have the hardcover version, quality is good, writing style is clear, content is good.If you buy thec64, this book is a must have.Hope this helps.

Nowhere near as in depth as id have liked or expected. Was hoping since the C64 has a full working keyboard, there would be a whole section on programming in BASIC with some example listings, but there is not a single one. Plus there is next to nothing on how to download more games. At only 100 pages there is too much devoted to things which your casual user wont even care about. Id class it as a slightly bigger version of the quickstart guide you get in the box. It does its job as a guide to the basic functions and how to set up and understand the features of the machine, but very little else. Dissappointing
