Nice shell. Not hard to do.
This was pretty easy to do. Just take your time. Make sure you don't put a long screw in the wrong spot(I messed up and put one in the second layer and pushed my screen out of place and had to take it apart again. No damage though)The shell is really nice. I looked up a video on youtube. (guy going from a yellow to clear purple. Title: switch lite replacement shell installation) I did use my original volume up/down and power buttons as well as the sd card and cartridge slots just because they had the text on them instead of the plain black that came with it.

Looks Great, Very Difficult Install
Looks absolutely amazing. Can't comment on the quality of the buttons, as I used the stock buttons that came with my Switch Lite. Was a royal pain to install though. Easily an 8/10 difficulty. I've done reshells for the GBA, original Switch, and various other electronics and this one was rough by comparison.Involves COMPLETE disassembly of the Switch Lite. Broke a few parts in the process but was thankfully able to fix them (one of the ribbon cable latches broke off and I had to spend about 45 minutes trying to get it back on, as the display backlight did not work until I did).Be VERY careful doing this and make sure you have a good screwdriver set, as well as fine pointed picks and fine pointed tweezers. This would have been nearly impossible without all those tools; the components in the Switch Lite are that tiny. Also, keep track of what screws go where. You'll have so many of them by the time it's disassembled, if you don't, it's gonna take forever.Total process took about 3-4 hours.

It fits, however
This is a great housing shell for someone who has never switched shells on anything before, like myself when I bought it, however after some use little fragile pieces started to break off, such as the piece by the game card slot that you insert the game card cover into. Make sure to not screw the screws too tight or else the shell will crack from pressure. Also, being made of thin plastic, your switch will be very noisy. It will make creaky noises every time you use it and move it around in your hands. This was the main reason I replaced this shell after some use. But if you're okay with that, it would be a great product to buy!

nice and clean
If you're able to do install this correct, it comes out very clean. flush, no gaps, all buttons presses and feel are tactile like OEM. Just 2 small tips when installing.1- Take good (close-up) pics of where the screws are before removal. Trust me, you don't want to end up with extra screws at the end because you don't know where they go.2- When installing the L and R shoulder buttons to the new shell, make sure to slot them in correctly. Not doing so will make it contact/bend the black rubber button nub, thus making the actuation mushy with no feedback. A YT reviewer said his L/R shoulder button were mushy do to the post in that area being a little thicker than OEM, that may be a cause as well (he sanded about 0.5mm or so).Good thing about these is that they are clear. You can kinda see where problems may occur after snapping everything back together. I didn't have to sand anything, the shell I got was a perfect mold. Hopes this helps some running into this issue.

First Time Ever Taking Things Apart
The media could not be loaded. I have never done anything like this. Totally new to the mod world. I’ve never dissected any piece of technology before lol. I’ve always been interested and this was an insane way to get my first bit of experience doing it. So I decided to experiment on my $200 switch lite that I just bought lol crazy. I’d say it wasn’t exactly easy but it wasn’t totally hard either considering I’d never done this before.I found a really good 2-part tutorial (Speed Demon 8706, you don’t have to pop the battery out like the guy did in the video) on YouTube, step-by-step on what screws to take out and then putting it back together. Your biggest challenge is keeping screws organized and using pictures to remind yourself where you pulled the screws from!If you can pace yourself, pay attention to what you’re doing, and learn your parts a bit, you can get this done.I was really proud of myself after I was done (everything works too!) and I still stare at it. This took me at most 5 hours to do (spread across two days).Be careful removing the screen so you don’t mess up the adhesive and don’t let the ribbons stick to the adhesive. Use a heat gun to help you push the screen out with ease, otherwise you’ll hear sounds that’ll make you scared that you’re breaking it lol.The quality of the shell is pretty good for plastic, be careful putting it on as some people cracked theirs.Overall great purchase for $35. Definitely was worth it.

Bad Quality
the housing mold is not made with quality in mind, once it is fully assembled there are gaps between the front and the back cover, which is not a pretty sight. the clips are also made from the same material as the housing and they're very soft and break easily.

Great shell, but plastic is a little on the fragile side
I really love this product, I have one on my joycons as well as my switch lite. I honestly could've be happier with how it turned out. That being said, I returned the first shell I had because there were cracks on the face plate after installation, same thing happened to the second shell i bought. Both near the home button, they also got some small ones on both the back plate bottom sides. I wasn't rough with it at all. I'll probably end up getting another thought because it's driving me crazy seeing them.

Good Housing
Easy to install but the durability isn’t 100% will crack if you drop it a lot, but nonetheless a good housing shell.
