I bought this to replace a stolen 17yr old Fluke.Not only is it less than half the price I paid in 2003, but is very much better.The LCD screen gives a perfect image of any network cabling faults, including cross-wiring.The eight remote slaves save a lot of walking.The major flaw is that nine patch cables are needed, and only one is provided.My solution was to cut off the BNC plug, and remove the RJ45 socket plus the end of the PCB underneath.I designed and printed a 40x33x17mm case with an RJ45 plug. So much smaller and I don't need eight patch cables. In fact all eight fit in the outside pockets leaving plenty of space inside for other tools.I love the 'thickness' category, which I have given zero stars (8-)#

Feels a bit cheap but haven’t had any issues after 5-6 uses. Readings seem good and picks up all remotes when used. The patch cable failed when tested 😂

I bought this as I no longer had access to a Fluke, and it's worth every penny. The remotes all have different IDs so you can use them to identify ports if you lose track of cable wiring, the distance comes in really handy not just for cable breaks but finding out what end is misconnected, and it gives peace of mind when routing new cable looms. Spot on.
