Easy install and works perfectly

I gave 5 stars for easy to install but must quantify that. If you have the tools which are special and are brave.A repair shop replaced my screen 3 times, blaming the lack of home button function on the screen connection. I got a new button from this site and installed it my self. took around 15 minutes. Very minute work tiny screws so be careful when plugging it in. It solve the problem. Button works great!

My dislike was that no instructions were included. I went to the website on the package and did not see the product listed so I could not get instructions that way. I had to depend on you tube and other instructions from a screen replacement I had done. The question I had was "Is there an adhesive under the Johncase label that I should be using? Anyway I did not and the button seems to be working. It seemed to bring up Siri very frequently when not expected and took multiple presses to get Siri to clear. I have now de-activated Siri via the button and it seems better. It works ok now.

Sometimes the button works and other times you have to keep touching it it TRY to get it to work . Very unreliable button and had to remove it to buy a different brand that works like a charm now. NOTE: All buttons were installed by a qualified tech at a phone store.

**NOTE: If you replace your home button on your iPhone outside of the Apple Store the fingerprint ID feature will no longer function; regardless of what replacement part is purchased.** I replaced my home button with the above part in late June of 2020. It's a straight forward fix. I perused the ifixit.com tutorial prior to purchasing and also utilized it for the fix. The most taxing portion is getting through the adhesive without cosmetically damaging the frame. I accumulated a few dings using a blowdryer and a small flathead. I'd also suggest purchasing a $10 iPhone repair kit. The "responsiveness" is as expected and it continues to perform to my standard.$20 vs. $350 is a no brainer.

I installed it and it didn't work. Tried another home button replacement from elsewhere and got my phone working again, so definitely something wrong with this one.

This works great in my iPhone 8. Mine stopped working after I replaced my broken screen for a second time. I am sure I overtightened the screw or something but this phone is very annoying without a home button. I knew this was a budget item that wouldn't recognize fingerprints. I am okay with that. I was prepared for quality control issues and poor fit from other reviews. I must have gotten lucky. Mine fit nicely and works quite well. Time will tell if it survives my apparent clumsiness.
