I think mine must be defective?
Bought it to use with my 8 string Ibanez RG8. I played with the knobs and power input settings as much as I could but I couldn't get sounds at all like the demo vids gave. A very mellow gain is all I got. Dunno.

A Metal Distortion Pedal For Grown-Ups!
This is a GREAT metal distortion pedal! Plenty of midrange (something a lot of other metal distortions are lacking), more than enough gain for any rock or metal sub-genre, and lots of EQ options to shape your tone to your liking. I also REALLY like the boost feature. It comes packaged in a really nice box with lots of info on the inside, as well. This is one of the best metal distortions that I’ve ever demo’ed, and I’ve demo’ed a lot of them. Trust me, this is NOT another cheap distortion pedal. Buy with confidence!

Used every 9v plug in in my house and checked, it doesnt take batteries. Now i know not to go to amazon for music equipment

Massive Metal Tone
This Pedal is down right Heavy. The Boost high and low toggle switch gives such a unique tone difference (high) clear crisp heavy bite. (low) Also clear and crisp but go from super scooped tone to all out Raw in your face melting Chug Train. Has nice EQ tonal sweep to really tweek your tone. The pedal also lights up on a dark stage as well which is a plus. JUST BUY IT!!
