First Cockpit & Very Happy!!!
This is my 1st cockpit set up so I'm unable to compare to others but can say that this must be the 1st (and only that I've been able to find) that it's a 3 in 1 (or in my case 4-1) set w/ all the attachments incl. What I mean is that not only should it satisfy the flight & racing sims, but incl. rail sim as well. I also incl. the use of the use of everyday web browsing-not office use tho, IMO. As in another review, the seat is very comfy tho could use a padding for your head-straight back. The back reclines WAY BACK & the seat as a whole may be a bit of an issue if your waist is over a size 40! And just like your car seat, there's a handle underneath to adjust forward/back. Seat is not adjustable for height (raising/lowering). It sits on a solid base. The complete frame is adjustable as well if long or short on the legs. The lower front plate for the pedals (flight/racing) has 3 positions (raise/lower) for comfort. The main (top) desk is long tho not that wide, but it's not to be used IMO as a typical desktop-this is mainly to be used for components (flight). The lower shelf is for the keyboard & mouse. Its completely padded, so no need for mouse pad, tho a riser for your wrist may be in need. I use the logitech wave keyboard & is a tad too wide having to use the rear risers to lay the board flat w/ overhang. The shelf in itself swivels in all directions, as well as adjusts to heights. If using side controllers, the shelves are adjustable as well, both for height & forward/back. Unfortunately, if using a joystick, there is no center shelf, but this seems to be the norm (possibly may be able to configure something yourself tho be mindful of warranty). The kit incl. 2 side arms to use 3 monitors but be mindful as well as the need of VESA Mount for your computer monitor. Computer monitors seem to be starting to apply these mounts but your out of luck if using a slim line model (myself being in this spot, so looking to replace an 1yr old Samsung Gaming monitor). All in all, if you're looking into a cockpit that's all in 1, this is/has to be it, especially giving its pricing.*Check the company"s web site for their videos &/or YouTube as well for complete description & gallery.

RACING SOMULATOR
The photo does not give a good and honest depiction of this simulator. It's too low for flight sim. They have a three inches seat riser but it's additional cost. No arm rest; available but additional cost. It's just about getting your money. To return you will loose 20 percent for restocking fee plus you pay for the returned shipment; cost me over $400 to return it; Amazon will not help as they claim it's a third party items; the little refund takes weeks to come back to you. Please be careful gamers.

It's good, but wish the wheel mount was better
Let me start by saying that the product is good and I would buy another one. Also Volair's customer support is top notch and very responsive. With regard to the product, I think there are some things that are worth reemphasizing that I think are fair criticisms of this type of enthusiast product. I will also caveat that I haven't tried any other competitors, so maybe this is just state of the art and so be it... but I would like to see these things addressed if there's ever a "Volair Sim 2"My chief complaint is that I think this sim rig was designed for flight first, and the fact that it happens to work for racing is just a happy accident. The reason I say this is because the mounting point for the wheel is not terribly well reinforced, it has quite a bit of flex in it. I think it will probably never break, but the constant flexing with force feedback is not what I was hoping for. Other bolt on doodads are better but do have a tiny wiggle unless very heavily tightened, so something like a Fantatec Shifter you'll get a little bit of play in it. I think this would be completely fine on a flight sim where for the most part you are being gentle, but competition sim racing can be a violent exercise and I can tell I'm going to be rattling this thing all the time.Additionally, the adjustment options for the placement of the wheel are somewhat limited. "Closer and Higher" or "Lower and Farther away" are your options. I know a lot of drivers like a close and low wheel, right on the chest, and frankly that's just not possible with this thing unless you are a very specific body dimension (I'm 5'11" and slim). Or possibly just different pedals that sit higher up so you can scoot in closer. With G27 I have to make the choice between perfect wheel and perfect pedal placement. I've tried to split the difference. Finally, the assembly for this thing is a task. All the other reviews are accurate. You can expect to spend 5-8 hours on this thing, and learn a lot of lessons along the way. The instructions are a little hard to follow and some steps like attaching the seat to the chassis are a downright menace. My most important tool in this assembly was a rubber mallet, because some stuff you just have to beat into place.Other notes (not all negative, I promise!)- UPDATE: this comes pre-drilled for the X52 Pro. Very nice to have. I think it even bolts to the center-stick, which means you can have the HOTAS on center and left side, with the racing shifter on the right. Perfect!- The website claims you need M6 x 10 machine screws to mount the G27 pedals, but those are far too short. Get longer ones and thank me later. I used M6x16 and those seemed to do well.- The triple monitor mounting is very good. Sturdy, quality, easy.- The seat on this thing is really nice. Frankly it's worth an entire star on its own. It feels very high quality and once you get all your positions worked out it can be very comfortable

BUILT LIKE A TANK.
I was initially nervous about spending the money on this setup. But once I received the unit I became impressed with the steel construction and build quality. Drill holes and mounting surfaces lined up nicely and I was able to assemble the entire unit myself without any extra hands. I ended up mounting 3 34" 1080p Sharp HDTVs on the system. Quite large and heavy and the chassis holds the weight like a champ. It does not flex or wobble at all. It's like climbing in to a tank. Even with jerky and aggressive inputs on my HOTAS system the unit never flexes or moves... Can't say enough good things about this purchase.A few things to consider:-I'm not sure that I would be able to successfully mount anything larger than the 3 34" screens. It seemed to be kind of reaching the upper limits of the size of screen that the unit would handle... but I could be wrong about that.-I'm not a super tall guy. 5'8" And I feel like I want another inch or two of adjustment on the seat to get me just a little bit closer to the keyboard tray. Still not a deal breaker and the mounting plates for the HOTAS system are completely adjustable so no problems there.
