Almost perfect for the job
I needed to put a few SSDs into an older Supermicro chassis (CSE-815TQ) so I ordered these. I know they make a tool-less version but I think I prefer the ones with the screws. These worked out perfectly with a few caveats.Firstly, the adapters are supplied with a rubber spacer that goes under the drive to give it more support. The SSDs I had (Samsung 860 Pro) were thinner than a normal spinning 2.5" drive so the spacers were too thin. I'm sure it would probably work okay without the spacer at all, but luckily I had some neoprene that was just the right size to make up for the difference in thickness. I glued a piece onto the supplied rubber spacer and the drive fit perfectly. The thinner drive also causes another issue. There is a tab that sits behind the drive to give more support when inserting the carrier into the chassis. That tab barely catches the top of the SSD. I don't think it's an issue if you have all four screws in properly. All in all I think these are great. I don't know if they make one more suitable for the thinner SSDs or not but I may look into that if I buy more. if not, I'll just add my own spacer again.

What can I say? It positioned my 2.5" drives for use in an older Supermicro which accepts 3.5" drives. Installation is a breeze (if you can use a screwdriver). No disconnects or faults after 2 months of use.

Works perfectly in my 5028D-TN4T / CSE-721TQ-250B case (with X10SDV-TLN4F motherboard).
Supermicro sells TWO (2) different 3.5" to 2.5" drive bay converters, with little documentation. That makes it hard to know which is which.THIS is the one you want for their popular little mini-tower 5028D-TN4T / CSE-721TQ-250B case (works great in mine), and similar models.(p.s. The OTHER converter Supermicro sells is for their high-end / rack-mount stuff....)

Wonderful price
This is an official super micro product. The price is only couple dollar more than what a used item is being sold on ebay. This is brand new and comes with a bag of screw so it is a great deal.

Worked For Me
It's hard to give a negative review on this product. I guess if the holes did not line up you could complain. Product works as designed with no problems.

It works fine
It fits, seems well built. Was able to add a 2.5" SSD without any issues. The screws were a little awkward to get to.

It Works
I used this in a Supermicro 6048R-E1CR36N enclosure for 2x SSDs. It worked perfectly with no problems. If I need to mount more SSDs then I'll be coming back.

Works perfectly in a SuperMicro SuperServer SYS-5027r-WRF 2U rack server
I wasn't initially aware that I needed one of these to get the system to recognize the drive, but thankfully I suspected there was an available adapter and I managed to find the right one. It has worked perfectly and the price is reasonable.
