Beck/Arnley090-5018 Speed Sensor

l wasted my time and money with the mechanic only, this sensor does not fit on my 2000 Toyota Camry 4 cyl

this is a name brand product that I buy, but the plastic speedo gear was missing. The picture shows the plastic speedo gear installed on the sensor is the reason I chose this unit because I wanted to replace the unit as a whole and not use the plastic speedo gear off the old unit, I gave this speed sensor a 3 star because I buy this name brand product and they have never let me down. T strange thing is the speed sensor is sealed, so i don't know whether the plastic speedo gear was in the box or sold as a separate part .

Had to sand down the shaft a bit to fit the transmission it was more or less a light press fit as received, sanded with 150 grit then polished back up with 1000 grit and was able to get it to fit. So far so good and seemed to fix my unsettling issues with speedometer dropping to zero transmission down shifting and car just driving crazy. Terminals on the old one we corroded and making bad connection to the point of the center terminal pulling out when I disconnected it. 2001 Camry LE 4 cylinder.

Definitely better than the countless cheap imitations that are out there. I tried a cheap one first, since it wasn't worth paying full price for a 22 year old Camry, but it immediately leaked. This one is leak free and my speedo and transmission work fine.

Exact fit and function for my 2000 Toyota Echo. Just a single cable connector and bolt to detach and reinstall (after removing the air cleaner housing). Reusing the old gear was also straightforward--remove clip, slide gear out, slide gear into new sensor, attach clip.

I had this one for few weeks now and it seems to function properly. It fits fine on my 95 Toyota Celica GT.
