I have tried three different dashcams for my vehicles, and this one is probably one of the best, especially for the price. I got this on Amazon for about $58. It's well made and records high quality video.What dashcams provide is a little extra insurance policy against that guy who runs a redlight, or that woman who cut you off. A DASHCAM MAY BE YOUR ONLY WITNESS in an accident. That being said, you don't need anything too fancy, but you want to make sure it works. Have only had this for a couple months, and so far it has done great. It also allows one to save clips yourself by pushing the down arrow button. It saves 10 seconds prior to the time to pushed the button and 20 seconds after. Just play around with it so you're comfortable in case you need to use it.Should anything come up with this product, I will update this review.

Pros: Excellent video and audio, easy to use. The SD card is easily accessible and you can take it out and view and save the video on your computer.Cons: Instructions were written by someone whose first language is not English and are almost useless. I still don't understand why the screen comes on sometimes and then goes off, doesn't appear to be consistent. The screen is too bright for night driving so I placed a piece of electrical tape over the screen so it doesn't distract my driving at night. You have to purchase a small SD card for this camera also (I purchased one for about $20 at Staples, 64g). Overall I like the camera. We'll see how it does over the next few months.

UPDATE: As I feared, went a few business days with no response from manufacturer. Returning. Steer clear of these things.I decided to pull the trigger on purchasing this, despite the spotty reviews. On February 19th, I received the camera and let it charge overnight, 8 hours-ish. The charging light had turned off, which per the instructions, indicated that charging was complete. I inserted the SD card, adjusted the settings to my liking and drove 25 miles to see my family. When I arrived, I was surprised to see that the unit was turned off. I assumed I must have had it on an incorrect setting, though I couldn't figure out what. When I turned the camera back on, I got the alert that the battery was dead and needed to recharge. This was about a 30 minute drive. THE CLAIMS ABOUT THE BATTERY ISSUES ARE REAL FOLKS. I suppose I'll follow up with the manufacturer first, to see if they can do anything about it. I've heard less than stellar feedback about their response times, but I'll give them a fair shot. Otherwise, I'll return them to Amazon. I'll update this review accordingly. Good luck!

Junk. Save your money. This thing screws up all the time. Won't turn on, Won't turn off, Stops working for no reason, etc. I returned it.

Setup is easy. Good product. I don't have a chance to play back video so cannot tell the quality is good or not.

- size of the camera fit perfectly behind the rearview mirror- extra long cable came in handy when I had to run the cables around the windshield, off to the side of the dashboard, down the wall of the passenger foot area, beneath the floor mats- display made mounting the dashcam easy since I could see what is being recorded- suction cup is STRONG- video came out great and HDR works awesomeI'm going to order another one for our other vehicle.here is a video sample: [...]

Attached easily to the window and has stayed there for 3 weeks now despite the cold snow and wind here in Boston. I added a 32Gb memory card, formatted it, and it was good to go! I formatted the card via the menus, which were easy to navigate I did not need the user-manual as it was intuitive to use. I've played back several of the videos the resolution and clarity are good! I recommend this for anyone sick of bad drivers blaming YOU for their mistakes, as I am.
