Super easy setup, great app, really does work from inside a metal fridge. Alerts work well.
Setup:Setup could not be easier.1. Install app,2. setup hub3. add sensor(s).4. Update Firmware. To make the hub setup quick and easy it's best to connect the hub to your router with an ethernet cable. The instructions have you scan a barcode on the hub using the app to register it, then power it up. It came online within a few seconds. WiFi can then be setup while it is connected via ethernet cable. If you wish to use WiFi power off and relocate the hub. It takes about 30 seconds to join WiFi after being powered up.Adding the sensor(s) is similar. Scan the barcode on the device with the app, then turn it on using a switch on the back of the unit. It will connect to the hub quickly. It is best to configure all the alerts and other settings while you have the sensor on a desk, then when the configuration is complete place the sensor where it is needed. Both the hub and sensor had the latest firmware as delivered which is awesome.Use:The LCD's still work even at freezer temperatures of -5f. The batteries in the LCD sensors will not last very long in a freezer. maybe 9 months, I have ordered some sensors that do not have an LCD and come with Lithium batteries good for 5 years.I'm really impressed how well the sensors work inside a freezer clear the other side of the house from the hub. It lives up to the hype. Sensors contact the hub about once per minute.App:The app is very good, there are some really detailed statistics you can view and there is an option to download data. I have included a screen shot of one of the charts showing a 24 hour view,Alerts:After setting thresholds, alerts can be sent via the app on your phone, an email, or SMS. SMS is limited to 15 SMS's per month but email works just fine and has no limit.Yolink Eco system:The number and variety of devices you can add to the hub is impressive. Given how easily the system and app works I'll be adding devices in the future.Highly recommended.

Works great!
We got this because we had a freezer die. We didn't notice it soon enough and we ended up losing hundreds of dollars of meat as a result. So, the cost of this is much less than having to buy a freezer full of food. The app is very easy to use. Setting up the hub was easy and adding the temperature sensors was very straightforward. We use the app to keep tabs on our fridge and freezers, especially when away from home. The sensors have been running now for close to 9 months and everything is going great.

>18mos in service: recommended
Installed in 2 freezers. EZ setup, reliable, have worked as designed for >18mos.Also added the Yolink leak detector to my system, which I placed on cellar floor.Peace of mind, knowing that I will receive an alert to my phone if my freezers fail or my cellar floods, is well worth the price and effort to put this YoLink system in service.Recommended.

Pays for itself! Yolink saves the day! (And the food)
The media could not be loaded. I bought these back in January 2022 and set one up for use in our new chest freezer and the other I put in my home office. The unit is inside the freezer and reports data perfectly to the network equipment. I most impressed that with an average temperature of -0.2f and being installed inside that it can work properly. It's a winner!April 2, 2022Recently the power went out for a few hours on Friday afternoon. Unknown to me that the freezer GFCI tripped and the power was disconnected from the freezer. I received several alerts over night about the humidity increasing above my set point. The freezer wasn't running! And the temperature was sloooowly rising and at almost 20 degrees. Two things about this situation. 1. The Yolink works well and reporting is timely. 2. My freezer only increased 20 degrees in 21 hours!I reset the GFCI and the freezer is running properly now. In under an hour the Yolink reports the temperature is falling steadily and is at 12 degrees with the humidity falling to 54%. Should be back to 0 +/- a couple of degrees in another 40 minutes.Great freezer and Yolink saves the day!Apologies for the crappy video.---===UPDATE===--- July 30th 2022Still loving this sensor! My thoughts after 7 months of use...Works flawlessly and continually reports temperature and humidity that is out of range. My only fault with this device is that I received no, (read, ZERO) alerts that the batteries had died or reached a low voltage level in the sensor in my chest freezer. I discovered today that the batteries were dead. I will now be setting a reminder alert on my phone to replace batteries in 5-6 months. On another note, it's amazing that the batteries (factory installed AAA alkaline) lasted 6 months in temperatures in the 0-5 degrees F.Also, I did not have to re-pair or reconfigure the sensor. Slap some fresh batteries into the device and powered up immediately and instantly received a text message on my phone saying that the humidity was high and temperature was out of my designated safe range.A NOTE TO YoLink:Please upgrade the device to send alert when battery life is near it's end.

Damn is this good!
Previously I've searched for freezer monitors after a freezer full of food died. And the built-in alarm died with it. Well, this connects the sensors on something else, not Wifi or BT, into a tiny hub that just into any router. You download a fast smartphone app, and then scan a qr code on each device. They configure themselves! You can set temperature range alarms, and get alerts by SMS and email to your devices. And the system can add home alarms, more sensors, alarm sirens, all sorts of things. The LCD readout on each sensor can be read by itself, and the displays don't crack or freeze. You get to read a temp and humidity chart for each sensor. You can see how self-defrost really changes the temperature, and proof that a FULL freezer keeps a much steadier temperature.I'm in love with this thing. So simple to set up (if you look at the instructions) and such great information and performance.I'd actually give it SIX STARS if I could, and I'm a hard customer to please.
