NLT Thinline Reference Bible, Filament Enabled Edition (Red: New Living Translation, Thinline Reference Bible, Berry, Filament Enabled Edition, Red Letter, Leatherlike

I was pleased with the cover - its colour and simple design, which is what I wanted. However, I've just got the ribbon out now and realised it's taped!!! That is disappointing.The paper and binding also leaves much to be desired.I would not have minded paying more and getting a better quality product.

I have all the key study bibles in their latest editions … NIV, ESV, Archeological, NRSV backgrounds, CSB ancient faiths, Holy Land CSB and the NLT thinline filament.The two most inspiring bibles are the NLT filament and the Holy Land CSB. Couple of reasons:1) the text block is uninterrupted by footnotes and hence also more text per page to read in a non-academic setting2) the easy accessibly of the high quality articles without actually impeding your scripture reading3) the visuals in the articles and the essays are top notch in Holy Land without overdoing them. It is great also in the NLT filament in a different way via the app…. awesome maps that are multilayer and zoomable, slick Bible-project videos, very decent word studies+exegesis+exposition+book/character summary and very many devotionals.4) NLT and CSB strike a great balance …. CSB leans more towards linguistic accuracy while the NLT slightly leans towards paraphrasing in order to convey a more accurate overall meaning to the lay-reader.5) the scholarship behind NLT is extensive and top-notch while keeping a very accessible reading level. CSB similarly has a great team behind it too. NIV scholarship is the benchmark and the G.O.A.T.ESV and CSB are comparable in scholarship even though they start with different core material. ESV is a derivative from the RSV observes a stricter literary form, CSB is from the original Hebrew, Septuagint and Greek NT text and focuses on contemporary English usage. NRSV is not evangelical, it is more scholarly and secular; is also easy to read.6) particularly NLT filament: so handy as a bedside resource because all other study bibles are too bulky, thick and heavy. Great to take to church, compact and easy to carry.Only complaint is the single scrawny ribbon marker. The full holy Bible should have 2 ribbons by default, I hope Tyndale takes this feedback.P.S. I got the standard size as the font is very readable at 8.75 and overall very thin bible. The large print is a bit unconventional in its overall length and width and doesn’t stack well.

The cover is so pretty, I love the deep shade of red and the flexibility of the faux leather makes it comfortable and easy to hold. The size of the font is easy to read and I appreciate the ribbon bookmark attached. The pages are tissue paper thin, but durable and allow it to be light weight. (**Maybe not great for those who like to write notes on the pages because it may bleed through and pages are sheer.) I also enjoy using the app so far. It’s very user-friendly and love that it’s free. I’ll be buying more as gifts!

The font and type size are spot on. Easy to read and easy to carry around. Very happy with my purchase.

Beautiful Bible, not too small but not too big. Font is perfect size and the pages aren't too thin. The filament bible app is cool at first, but Holy Spirit is my Bible study partner(so I honestly don't really use it). Do not hesitate to buy this Bible. I purchased the wine colored one and it's beautiful.

So beautiful! Love the red letter and comes with a ribbon. Pages are thin for me but not more so than a standard Bible. Will be using a gel highlighter so it doesn’t bleed. It’s a pretty simple layout but the app that comes with it makes it worth a million dollars. So much information on that app. 10/10 recommend.
