I have only had this particular rope for a few weeks now, but I am satisfied with my purchase so far. I have used rope attachments in the past, they are just about my favorite cable attachment, for the simple fact that they are so versatile and they allow for a full range of motion as well as a new dynamic to any exercise.What makes rope attachments so great is that they are not set pieces, for instance, if you are doing a triceps push down with a straight bar attachment, when you get to the lowest part of the exercise, you will be able to straighten you arms all the way, but they will be stuck in one plane of motion; up and down. There is nothing wrong with a straight bar, but with a rope, when you get to the bottom of the exercise, you can squeeze you triceps and really get a more natural movement, reducing the risk for injury. You will also be able to more freely move your wrists, making it more comfortable.All and all, I think every one should have a rope attachment, it adds an amazing dynamic and this one feels like it will last a long time.

use it on my powertec lat machine. works great for triceps and also for abs. quality feels good. have used it for a couple of months now with no issues. It's held up very well, looks n feels like new. I workout 5-6 times a week and use this 1-2 x a week so I used it quite a bit.only bad part is it did stink for like 2 weeks or so. basically stunk up my weight room but its not a bad/ disgusting smell, more of a very noticeable annoying rubber smell. cant beat it for the price.Update 5-12-14. Still going strong. Still using it at least once a week and no signs of wear. Had forgotten it stunk for two weeks and has been durable so giving it 5 stars instead of 4. Think the saucer type handles might be more comfortable but still very pleased.

I didn't have any issues with this rope as others have.the end caps (I checked them ahead of time before using) were attached very tightly.the rope is nice and strong - I use it for curls, tri's and also for some heavy back exercises.the rope did have a off odor when it was first unpacked but over the course of using it in the first week it went away.as in all new ropes it was a bit slick and stiff... but broke in nicely after a few months.for the money spent and the length (average size and not a long rope) Valeo worked just right for my wife and me.we'd purchase it again.

I bought this item because 1) I was tired of wasting time walking around my gym trying to find the "missing" rope that was not returned to its proper place and 2) having to wait on someone to finish their workout because there is only one rope available in the whole gym.The quality of the rope is excellent and fits perfectly in my hands. I use this item at least 2-3 times a week for various exercises and till this day it is still as rigid and looking "like new" since when I originally purchased it in April 2015. The metal attachment fits all machines. So far this has been the best investment I have made toward my fitness journey.

I like using rope because it increases my grip strength when doing any exercise. As a wrestler, I need my grip strength. For the Valeo product itself, it does what it does. You can probably find a better quality one but for money, but this is pretty bang for your buck. I've been doing different cable exercises with it and it does exactly what I expect it to do. I put it around a pull up bar and do rope pullups and after about i say a dozen times using it for pullups, its still in mint condition.PROS: Cheap, long lasting, does its job.CONS: The rope quality is kind of cheap so it might hurt certain hands. It smells like cr*p because of the rubber. Could stink up your gym bag.If you need a rope, this is the one to get because its cheap and it does its job. No need for a $30 brand name rope.

This is a great and essential piece of equipment in any home gym. I have used this thing consistently and it holds of extremely well. The threads are high quality and they have not begun to fray like you see in a lot of commercial gyms. Granted I can see it happening if used extensively in such a setting. However, if you are using this for home use you can be sure that it is great quality and will last you awhile! Highly recommend this!

4/20/20 Exactly the same as what I had at retro fitness before the shutdown. Another thing to add to the ever growing garage gym. Works great with the lat pulldown features of my power cage.5/1/20After reading some of the negative reviews, I went back to double check the length and to see if there was any odor. In actuality, this was advertised as 27 inches, but was actually only 25 inches in total length. For my purposes, this fact is of no major consequence. Also, there was no odor. Lastly, although it was marked "made in china," it was also stamped on one of the rubber ends with a capital "V" for Valeo. I would still buy this again.

We purchased this to use with our home gym, to facilitate crunches. It has been used on and off for many months by all members of the family, and provides a good hand grip for our crunches, draping it over the shoulders and holding it in front of the knobs, with the stack weights connected to the top hook. Since it automatically adjusts to the body's position, it is relatively comfortable in use, not hampering the crunches / movements. And a great value for the low cost.

Esta cuerda para polea me sorprendió la buena calidad que tiene y por el precio que es de alrededor de 250 pesos, no tiene nada que envidiarle a las de mayor precio que algunas son de cuerda de hilo de algodón y esta es de nailon pero personalmente me gusta trabajar con estas de nylon ya que se siente mas rígida. super recomendable compárenla no se arrepentirán ademas el envió me decía que 9 dias y llego en 4.
