AAV is a lifesaver
My only issue with this is that the pipe is somewhere between sizes and I wasn't able to attach it to either a 1.5" or a 1.25" coupler. I ended up tossing the pipe aside and just using the air admittance valve. This item works great.

VENT w/TEE COME TOGETHER IN THIS PACKAGE AND THEY WORK GREAT!
I want to provide some clarification. The posting is somewhat misleading because it states "Tee for Vent", instead of "Tee WITH Vent" which is what it should state since both pieces are includes. Due to the posting and some of the customer reviews I read, I thought the vent was sold separately and ended up buying a duplicate vent separately for $13, but it was already included in this package. I was able to resolve by calling Amazon and getting a refund for the extra unused piece which I asked to return, and also was granted a $5 credit because the rubber gasket was missing from the box (I had to make a trip to the hardware stop and buy separately since I needed to install vent immediately).I must say, after seeing Youtube videos of this baby in action and testing it for myself, IT WORKS WONDERFULLY! The velocity of the waterflow increased substantially! I used my cell phone to film the water flow (faucet open at it's max) before and after installation to my 1.5 inch pipes, and the time it took to drain was virtually cut by about 70 - 75%. At maximum water pressure, after 30 seconds of running the water, the water still kind of accumulates but no more than 1/2 inch and once shut off it now takes about 5 seconds to drain which is so much quicker than what it was taking before (30-35 seconds). For this price, both pieces are a bargain, I'm so happy with it and HIGHLY RECOMMEND for everyone experiencing delays with draining, especially anyone with a basin sink!

Nope
Bought this to replace an existing ten year old unit as kitchen sink was slow to drain and simply removing the unit let it drain immediately and quickly. Decided to take the easy route and order the exact same product as the original. Well that did not work as expected. Original was made in the USA, replacement in China. The replacement made the problem worse.

Easy to Install
This fits perfectly if you have enough horizontal space to work with in your trap arm. All of my trap piping is 1-1/2" so I did not need to deal with transitioning from 1-1/4". It probably took me more time to empty the cabinet under the sink and then replace the things afterward than it took me to install this kit.

Very good to have this option.
I have some old galvanized drain pipe in my house and have been slowly replacing it with PVC. In my kitchen I intended to replace the drain stack but keep the vent stack (which I'd buried in an exterior wall behind the kitchen cabinets). However, the vent pipe was rusted and broke in the transition from the wall to the attic.Rather than having to pull out the cabinets and tear into the wall, I was able to cap off that old vent to prevent sewer gasses from coming in, then installed this AAV under my sink.Just be mindful of code. For my state, I'm allowed to use this for my kitchen sink/dishwasher, because I have at least one other vent in my drainage system that goes out through the roof. Do not use these to replace all vents or you won't have a place for the gasses to go.When I have the opportunity to remodel the kitchen, I'll open the wall and replace that old roof vent with PVC and take out the AAV. But for the price and simplicity, this was a huge win to hold me over and save immediate expense.Last note for those pointing out the height. The plumbing code in my state calls out that an AAV under a sink needs to be at least 4" above the trap. That's the reason for it going up. Other codes (IPC and UPC) are probably similar, but I didn't look. Also, this must be between the trap and the wall (i.e. after the trap in terms of drainage flow). Do not put this between the trap and the sink (before the trap), or it won't actually do anything, and you'll risk a siphon clearing your trap and having the sewer gasses coming up through your sink.

great for vessel sinks
I had two very very slow draining vessel sinks. These fit in line perfectly and the sinks drain normal (fast) now. Was easy to install but then I'm around construction a lot. Comes just like the picture so you DONT have to buy an extra Redi Vent. That wasn't clear when I got it. Love these. Will put on all my (unvented) vessel sinks.
