A Cat's Tale: A Journey Through Feline History

Opulent book of hiss-torical knowledge!
If you enjoy brief vignettes of history featuring cats, you’ll get a kick outta this feline version of hiss-torical events, as narrated by Baba, a learned feline who models the styles of every era (while narrating a cat-centric version of human endeavors). This whole thing is tongue-in-cheek AND beautifully illustrated, while managing to get the actual history told. Baba gives an amusing and observant version of human history, especially honoring all important figures who appreciated cats, such as Muhammad, assorted Vikings and monks, kings and queens of many lands, artists and writers, farmers, and other hardworking people. Baba does not shy away from feline distress, such as the influential people who declared cats to be evil. This is a terrific little book that enlightens as it entertains.

Unique and entertaining
A whimsical and cleverly written tale of cats over time, narrated by.....of course, a cat. The pictures add to the story.

Good coffee table book
Gives the history of cats going back to Egypt. Some photos not very clear as they are reprints of historic cats.

Feline history told by a cat
Very informative, with a look at feline history throughout the ages. I also really like the concept of it being written from a cat’s perspective - it makes the book more engaging. However, the language is sometimes overly complex, and certain parts could be shortened, as Baba tends to repeat the same ideas using too many words. Or maybe he’s just bragging about his friends a little too much? lol

The Pictures! The Writing! The BEST!
The pictures are HILARIOUS and throughout the entire book. It would be worth it for those alone. But turns out - the writing is excellent too! A fantastic book that all cat lovers will treasure.
