So far a pretty nice crossbow for the money
Saw a lot of negitive reviews but for someone that is willing to take care of their equipment it has been a pretty good bow so far. I chucked the bolts that came with it and went with a little heavier carbon express bolt and 125gr G5's. Heavier may slow it down a bit but saves the limbs and string and hits hard. Scope is pretty cheap but for under 40 yds its okay. No problem yet with the cocking rope but I did order a spare from ten point just in case. Bow is a little heavy but I put a sling on it and can free hand it pretty well with an elbow wrap. Not a big fan of the quiver or quiver mount. Haven't figured out what to do with that yet. Pretty good bow for @ 400.00, It was more than I expected. (I will post again if anything changes)

Cocking sled is weak !!!
Bow itself is great , comfortable, accurate, compact, but after that my cocking sled broke the same as others have mentioned and 2 of the 3 arrows it came with the insert pulled out 1st shot into the bag. the only reasons that its not a 5 star review ...

Nice Crossbow
This is an upgrade to my Horton Summit which is a little long in the tooth. The velocity is great and will need a target rated for 400 FPS or more. I like the narrow limbs and more compact nature of the bow. It performs well at a longer range than my previous bow. I did pair this with heavier bolts to hopefully lessen the chance of cracking the limbs as some of these newer higher velocity bows have been known to do. Successful first time out and would recommend to anyone tho has used a crossbow before.

Limb Broke After 10 Shots!
While is was shooting the bow for the first time and sighting it in, one of the limbs broke after ~10 shots. I was impressed with the precision of the bow during the first few shots. However, around shot # 8 the arrow hit approximately 3 inches lower and 2 inches left from the shot before. I shot again with similar results but with less precision than I had seen on the earlier shots. I decided to try a different arrow thing I may have damaged the arrow on an earlier shot. When cocking the bow I a cracking or splintering noise. Visually, I could not see any breakage at the time but I decided to quickly set the bow down and get away from it. About the time I started to back away from the bow I saw the other most surface of the limb splinter and separate. The limb continued to break over the next 15-20 minutes. Fortunately, the limb did not break in half while I was close to it. Unfortunately, the limb did not break in half after I got away from it either. Therefore, I have then left with the very dangerous act of de-energizing the bow. Because this occurred during the cocking process this meant the cocking rope was still on the bow. Also, the anti-dry fire feature meant I had to load an arrow or bypass the feature to accomplish this task. I was able to remove the cocking rope, load an arrow, and remotely fire the bow via a string without injury but it was likely more luck than anything. I guess I could have remotely cut the string but I'm not sure that would have been any less dangerous.I had this bow replaced but had issues sighting the replacement bow in. I show this bow 20+ times and there were no know failures in the limbs. However, at 20 yards I was hitting ~3 inches with the scope adjustment maxed out. I was using the arrows and field points provided with the bow. I examed the bow and found the scope/accessories rail appeared to be out of parallel with the rail of the bow. I looked for a way to adjust the parallelism but the design of the bow would not allow for this without modification. Additionally, the rail of the bow was in no way flat. Looking down the rail you could see multiple waves. At this time I decided the bow (model and brand) was not for me. Bear is traditionally a great brand but it seems as if they are suffering from poor craftsmanship like most manufacturers. If you work for a company as a machine operator or assembler, please stop and think about how your craftsmanship hurts everyday people like yourself fare more and it does the company. Do you want to buy something that is defective and results in injury and/or having to deal with returning or replacing the item?

Very easy to assembled. Took 10 minutes to put together.
We saw one at Bass Pro just like this one but without the extras. My wife loves it. She is so happy with it , i think I have been replaced with her new toy.

Not bad but it's fragile and front heavy.
A family member and I have been using these crossbows for hunting season and it's worked remarkably well for him. His model has camo limbs and a scope with an illuminated reticle. He has taken several deer with great success and has had nothing but good things to say about it. I, however, have not had good luck with this thing at all. I managed to get a great hit on a deer with mine but the optic is constantly losing the zero. I'm not entirely comfortable with the idea of my ability to ethically harvest game being based on luck. The cocking string also broke on mine, which resulted in the broken string slapping my finger hard enough to break the skin. It also managed to leave a very minor cut on my arm. The cable also broke when I tried to zero it and it whipped me about a two centimeters below my eye. The crossbow is also very front heavy even for a crossbow and poorly designed. I ended up mounting a forward grip to the bottom rail which fixed the balance issue somewhat but the rail is so short that the crossbow's fore-end presses against my hand. The fore-end is also way too close to the rear which worsens the balance problem even more. The balance issue might not be significant for someone who is stronger or more used to crossbows (like my family member), so if that's not an issue for you then it's not an issue. Overall, it's not awful but it handles poorly and mine was pretty fragile. I'm willing to excuse those issues due to low price but I certainly got what I paid for.
