I love the deco gothic design of the frame. It worked perfectly with a 1930’s oil painting. The reason I didn’t leave a 5 review is becuase the color is way too coppery - I glazed it down with a little light grey paint which toned it down a bit. Quality was good enough.

I had a custom pet portrait done by my friend that I knew needed to be displayed properly in a gold frame. This wooden frame is very well made and comes with all the necessary hardware to properly frame any picture. This frame does not come with glass, a backing, or wall anchoring hardware. My only complaint is that it was nearly impossible to screw in the screws for the clamps so I swapped them out for nails. My canvas was thin so I needed to bend the clamps in order for them to hold the painting in place. Overall it was a more complicated process due to the nature of the canvas but was still completely doable.

This frame is very beautiful. I bought it for an 18 x 24 stretched canvas painting. HOWEVER, for full disclosure, I must say that I wish I had bought this for a smaller canvas size, say a 16 x 20, instead. I removed a handmade 3.5 inch wooden frame and replaced it with this one. The molding on this frame isn't as wide as 3.5 inches. It's probably like 2.25 inches. And it's a very noticeable difference around the canvas. I know everyone is different and some may like the ornate gold frame, and some may like the handmade wooden frame. Just know going in that the molding isn't very wide.
