I expected a little better results..
It works 'okay', but with 10 bits of A/D (instead of 8 bits), I expected the video to look a little better."Signal Format: NTSC and PALResolution:NTSC - 720x480, 352x480, 352x240, PAL - 720x576, 352x576, 352x288AD Converter: 10-bit Analog-to-Digital Converter"Maybe the supplied software is only using 8 of the 10 bits available.?.NTSC 720x480 from a movie DVD or my camera, looks much, much better..I'm using this Grabber to capture composite video from my telescope.I have a good quality camera (Samsung SCB-2000) and the picture on my 42" EDTV (852 x 480 native resolution) is great.It's DVD movie quality. But the captured video and pictures from the Grabber are not very good.Fuzzy, not at all real clear like watching the EDTV live.I have a cheap video home security system, and compared the 4-channel DVR (made by Defender)picture and video capture with the Encore ENMVG-3.. They look about the same.. I expected better video from the Encore.It seems like I could have purchased a cheaper generic Grabber and seen the same results..

Poor image quality
The item stated it would work on Win8 so I bought it. It did work, however the quality was not good at all. I assumed it was the old Hi8 video tapes I was trying to record from. I then switched to the camera mode on my old camcorder and the quality was just as bad. Tried three other cameras including my Canon 60D DSLR for live view and the quality was still bad. I then installed the software on my Win7 laptop and same thing, poor quality. When I say poor quality, I am referring to very grainy and almost no color. I tried all the various settings and nothing changed.I then installed another capture software program and using the USB device, I had the same problem with quality. Never could get a clear image. With all my trouble shooting, either the USB device or the drivers need improvement.

price was great / shipping was a little heavy / worked great / loaded software / plugged it in to usb and Sony Handycam & started working / easy to useJim

Nice hardware poor software
Software did not seem to work with Windows 7 Ultimate with 64bit memory. Could not find update online.
