Great on my XCarve, in both a De-Walt and Makita router
Perfect for flattening on my XCarve, very good performance, nice and sharp out the box and stayed sharp after multiple uses.

Short shank but does the job
This bit has a short shaft which is good and bad. Good - less likely to bend out of true while cutting hard material; Bad - base of the router must be close to the workpiece so flattening jig must be thin eg 8mm ply. So far ive used this to flatten 2 square meters of jointed teak and at the end it's still quite sharp and it did a good job on the surface. Would I but again? No, for the stuff I do I would go for a longer 1/2" shaft and wider cut area. It's great for small jobs though, and works well in a trimmer. It also comes with a handy storage container.

Nice for a beginner.
For a beginner nice tool. Time will come whenever more experience leads on to more professional cutter with an increase in, price.

Sharp tool at a reasonable price
As you can see from the picture, I'm using this with a battery powered router. It is sharp enough to cut through MDF without getting snagged, and with my setup, is giving me clean enough results for me to be happy. I'm limited by the router to this size head, and it will take time to skim an area, but so far it's been a robust purchase. Total runtime so far is about 6 hours of use. I'll be happy to buy again if I damage this one.
