Connecting Threads100% Cotton Thread Sets - 1200 Yard Spools (Set of 10 - Over The Rainbow)

I took a chance with this brand to get a range of colors for an art quilt that was due in a few days, and Amazon could get it to me faster than the quilt stores could ship Aurafil. I’m very happy with the quality and color sets from this shop! Now I have a nice array of colors that work well as both/either top and bobbin threads. I was having thread tension troubles while free motion quilting on a Janome 9450mqc home machine, and thankfully this thread solved it in a pinch. My only request for improvement would be in the spools. The top of the spool is a little rough and the diameter is just a hair wider than an orange 50wt spool, making my machine’s adapter/holder thingy push in a little farther into it than desired. This just means another second or two is required to position it for proper tension, but after that, I’m flying! Tip: as soon as you tear open the plastic seal, write the color name on the bottom of the spool with sharpie in case you need to reorder or use it again on the same project. You can find the color’s number on the top of the spool, but the name is lost with the packaging.Overall, very satisfied with this product. I bought 20+ spools.

I needed an odd shade of blue and one of the spools blended in perfectly. The spools are a great variety of colors and I am very pleased.

Quilting on long arm

I appreciated the low cost of this thread, but am unable to use it. This thread makes my sewing machine skip stitches. I've tried cleaning my machine, changing the needle, etc., and the only thing that made it stop skipping was to stop using this thread and go with more expensive thread. :(

I was excited about this thread because of the great reviews, the color assortment, and the 100% cotton content. But I have found this to be the most fragile thread! It snaps constantly, snarls up much more frequently than other brands, and is generally just difficult to work with. I’m still trying to use it up, but it’s maddening to have to stop every five seconds and deal with another knotted up mess or fix a seam that’s opening due to another broken thread. For context I’m using it mostly for piecing. I would NOT use this to quilt as it would definitely not hold up.

Absolutely awful, thread snaps when I’m trying to use it in my sewing machine. Really disappointed.

Loved the colours. Postage was very quick.
