Replaced the cheap plastic floor outlet covers that my home builder installed when our house was built with these. They fit and worked perfectly and added a bit of class to the floor.

The media could not be loaded. The best way to put a desk in the center of the room without tripping over the power cord and internet cable. Looks sleek and the rug can safely cover it. Was installed along with new flooring so I don’t think it can go into existing flooring. The box is big and deep below the flush mounting.

Works great and will keep me from replacing the power cord to the recliner

This is a well engineered product and a good solution if all you have is a box in the floor. However, the product did not provide a tight fit for my 4.5 inch diameter box. I have 3 of these in-floor boxes which have a nominal 4.5 inch diameter. These units were just a little undersized so PVC cementing to the boxes did not work (not a tight fit). What I ended up doing was adding a couple wraps of duct tape to the inserts to achieve a tight fit in my in floor boxes. Also, be aware that if you have a conduit entering the box that interferes with the unit ( I had one of the 3 with this situation) you will need to modify the unit by notching out the area (see pik). I also agree with another reviewer, it would be nice if the cord cover had screws holes like the blank plate. Quality is OK but the brass plates are not as heavy duty as the traditional ones made by Hubbell.

In my house I had the old style in floor unit with plug covers that made plug stand up straight. Useless. Hired a handyman to switch out in floor unit. Easy. Used double sided tape to adhere base ring to floor so it doesn’t move. Now I have a usable plug in middle of living room.

Installation clean and easy. Put this in to prevent our granddaughter from messing with the receptacle. So the device comes with two covers. One has no opening for when the receptacle is not in use, this one is screwed down. The "in-use" cover is not screwed down, so the kid can lift it off pretty easily. I simply drilled and countersunk a couple of holes so it could be screwed down. Looks great, this is a clever device.

I will most likely leave the solid cover on until I put a tall lamp by the couch. I put it in the concrete box and then I used expandable foam to keep it secured in the box. I chalked the outside rim and I may put some screws into the tile but for now probably not.
