Looks Great, Works Great!
I wanted a spotlight for the pond and solar to eliminate raising my electric usage. Since the pond area is in the shade thought I'd have to MacGiver something. Bingo! there were 4-5 options to chose from on Amazon where the solar panel was separate from the spotlight, so the panel could be charged in the sun and a long cable joined it to the spotlight in the shade. This is the brighter blue/white light compared to the softer yellowish light which I might have preferred but outside it's not a big deal for me. Very easy to put together, the light lasts until I go to bed (maybe longer) unless there have been cloudy days. The head swivels so you can position the light where you want after it's mounted. The electrical connections are either sealed or placed where it is protected from the weather so I see no need to caulk the connections to prevent corrosion as other products have mentioned. Been almost a year, no problems, I'm delighted.

Works Fine
I mounted the light under my eaves to illuminate our house address numerals. At the other end, the solar panel was mounted to a nearby rain gutter and pointed toward the southern sky. The wall mounting brackets were easy to install and the 9 meter cord length was adequate for this setup. Even during the short daylight hours of a Minnesota winter, the unit stores enough energy to keep my numerals illuminated during most of the night. It's bright enough, but just barely. Saved me the trouble of running an electrical circuit and installing a wired light fixture.

2 year update on this item-
I have used this light for almost 2 years now and I am back for an update. It still works well and has a large rechargeable battery in the solar panel but after being outside in the weather, the cord connector has rusted. If you buy an outdoor light with a disconnecting connector, I recommend you put some dielectric grease on each connector. it keeps out the water and still allows power to flow. I should have used some. I included a picture of the stuff. Thanks to all who found my review helpful!! I used this to light up my flag. You can either place the two separate components in the ground with the included plastic spikes or mount them using screws to a porch or deck, etc. It has a lengthy wire going from the light that plugs into the back of the solar panel. It has 3 settings- off, low power or high power. I set mine to low power so it will shine all night. It's very handy to be able to put the solar panel in the best place for the sun and have the light placed wherever it's needed at night. Good first impression
I bought this light to replace an older solar light to light our flag at night, as per protocol. Even though being a man, I read and followed the instructions letting the panel charge in direct sunlight for 8 hours before connecting the light. After almost 2 weeks of use, on low setting, it comes on at dark, about 8:30 and is still on when getting light about 6:30. Even on the low setting, the light is bright. The true test will be in a couple of months when it is dark at 5 pm until 7 am. I also like the panel and light being separate. This allows the panel to get better sun exposure.

Quit after in use for 3 nights-replacement sent
UPDATED:::The company sent me out a replacement solar light. I changed the rating from 1 star to 3 stars because of the fast replacement. After I use the light a while I will update my rating again.OLD REVIEW:::It quit working after 3 nights use. It just stopped. It is getting plenty if sun, the cables are all connected; no damage has happened. It just quit. For the 3 nights it did work the light was bright and it was very easy to assemble. Unfortunately I passed the return by date so ai am stuck with a broken product.

Good lights
I have it install on my balcony, to light up a pumpkin/ Thanksgiving and Christmas decoration. On low mode its working only for 4 hours at night, but i have a cover over balcony, so may be battery do not have enough lights to fully charge during the day. i wish it would last all night.

I've used it for a year now
I've had this for a light on my flag that's 6-8 foot above it for a year now. I'm in East Tennessee so there's been plenty of rain and occasional freezing and snow and its held up well. Being able to put the solar panel in the best position for afternoon sun is a great feature. During the summer with long sunny days it charges enough that when I leave for work in the morning (before dawn) the light is still shining. But on short or cloudy days it wont last all night. I'd recommend it.EDIT-UPDATE Its been almost two years now. Still working great. LAST UPDATE: The battery failed after 2 years 6 months. Not as long as I would have liked, but much longer than I expected for an outdoor setup.
