I found the Fingbox really simple to set up and use, and once set up, it gave me comfort that I could see the devices on my network and the sense of security that comes with that.There are other useful facilities too, such as regular checking of internet speed, which you can see as a graph.You can get alerts when devices go offline, which has been helpful for me to see how other smart home devices fall off the network.I am glad I bought this

Perfect at what it does. Plug and play simplicity.Keeps my network safe.

This box is easy to install and works well. Possibly a bit unnecessary in a home environment but it does stop unknown devices connecting to your network. Support, if needed, is via the user community which is not great but so far I haven't had any problems.

UPDATE=======Following my suggestion / comments on the forum the Administrator has escalated support for my case from the forum to formal ‘Company Support’.So, it remains frustrating that if you buy a Fingbox you will have to ask your questions / seek answers on the forum.My comments are in no way intended to be a criticism of the forum members!!!!ORIGINAL POST============My original Fingbox (bought in 2017) started to disrupt my network. Disconnect the Fingbox the Network was fine . . . Reconnect it and the Network collapsed.[Fingbox is a great product . . . when it works]Tech suport is ONLY AVAILABLE through A FORUM. There is no ‘case number’ and no company follow up. You are left to the mercy of the forum members . . . If they cannot be bothered to respond . . . you are simply left high and dry.Of those that answered my posting, a couple responded by simply asking questions about settings and a third person asked some questions and then told me to buy a new one!!!!SO, I did purchase a new Fingbox for £99 and asked the question on the Forum “How do I transfer my network data to the new Fingbox”. The response from the forum was silence . . . One person said he thought it could be done and he would get back to me . . . he never did!!!!Conclusion : Buy this product if you are prepared to accept ZERO COMPANY TECHNICAL SUPPORT and further accept that there is no way to contact the company itself (unless you want to talk to their sales team to buy yet another Fingbox)!

I’ve been looking for a product to add to my home network to keep an eye on all devices connected via Ethernet or Wi-Fi and I’m glad I went with this. The app is very easy to use, I have virgin 500mbit broadband it hasn’t slowed my network down at all, I haven’t needed to unplug it or reset it or anything. It sits there and notifies me when it needs to via the app and according to my settings. For example, I have it set to notify me of certain machines or devices when they go online or offline, very handy, I use the internet pausing for my kids, which works perfectly - I setup their computers and devices under their profiles and have them Automated to block internet in those devices after 9pm for example. Also checks for open ports, Wi-Fi attacks, instantly notifies you of new items joining the network with the option to block them etc. It has a lot of features and I’m very happy that it does everything I wanted it for and especially the kids groups and internet management. My router offers this but has no app, so being able to do this stuff when out and about via the fing app is just brilliant.

There are three things I really like about this device:- Monitor your network for new devices- Monitor if any of your devices go offline- Monitor the speed of your internet connection- Monitor for open portsThe other day, Fingbox notified me that one of my IoT devices went offline. IFor this particular device I probably wouldn't have noticed for several days.I wouldn't really call this a security device; its more of a network monitoring tool to compliment any other IPS/IDS solution you may have running on your home network. I already own a router with this capability, but needed some additional network monitoring tools.At the time of writing this, the Fingbox has been deployed on my network for over a month. So far I am very happy with it.

Absolutely fantastic. Helps control internet usage and gives detailed statistics. A must for every conscientious parent.

As another reviewer has mentioned, there's no technical support for this device so, if you run into problems, you're on your own, or you can chance your luck on their Community Forum.The software's reasonable, and the device fairly neat... but the Speed Test is not very good for fast home broadband (e.g. 1GBps fibre) as it seems to max out at around 500Mbps.Additionally the ability to "block" devices is rather crude, merely reserving any IP address the blocked device tries to grab, so as to create a network conflict. This can leave the blocked device continually spamming DHCP on your router as it tries to find a free address.Also it seems to get confused about ethernet-connected devices, reporting some fake WiFi connection strength info for them.But... it is reasonably inexpensive for what it does.

Die Box macht was es soll! Ich würde es auch an meinem Netzwerk zur Überwachung hängen lassen.ABER, Datenschutztechnisch ist die Fingbox ein trojanisches Pferd. Es soll Angreifer aus dem Netzwerk halten und einem die volle Kontrolle geben. Aber im Prinzip holt man sich den Spion, mit eigenem Geld, selbst in Haus. Sämtliche URL‘s werden an die Firma von Fingbox oder deren Partner gesendet, sowie Mouseovers etc..Schon ziemlich harter Tobak, daß man dafür auch noch Geld ausgeben soll. Als Dankeschön kann man dann noch maßgeschneiderte Werbung, anhand der ausgewerteten URL‘s, erhalten.An sich ist die Fingbox eine gute Sache. Die Umsetzung aber echter Graus.Ich kann nicht verstehen, dass die privacy policy hier nicht thematisiert wurde.Fingbox geht daher ungeöffnet direkt zurück.

Funktionen die bei der ersten Version inkludiert sind sollte man nun durch ein Premium Abo abonnieren...Nicht das was man sich vorstellt- wird auch nicht erwähnt in der Artikelbeschreibung.Die Version 2 kann mehr, will man diese Funktionen muss man extra bezahlen.

Il prodotto già dalla confezione si presenta molto bene, tutto estremamente curato e ben fatto.Il funzionamento abbinato alle app dedicate, su telefono, tablet, desktop e cloud fornisce tutto quanto pubblicizzato in maniera intuitiva.Unico neo, per cui non dò il 5 stelle è la documentazione: il sito riporta documentazione obsoleta, che si riferisce alle app della generazione precedente e quindi completamente diverse; Il documento è datato 07/2018 quindi ha quasi 2 anni. Inoltre alcune funzioni come il factory-reset (utilizzo del bottone reset sul dispositivo) NON sono assolutamente documentate ed occorre rivolgersi all'assitenza o ricercarle sul forum... si può fare sicuramente di meglio per funzioni base come questa...
