Writing Japanese Hiragana: An Introductory Japanese Language Workbook: Learn and Practice The Japanese Alphabet Paperback – July 7, 2015

I am writing this review on my mum's account ( I got these books April 14, 2012)When i started learning japanese i got these books:Japanese Hiragana: An introductory japanese language workbookKodansha's Hiragana workbookJapanese Hiragana for Beginners (Highly Recommend for you to use as your first book)HOW I USED THE BOOK, AND HOW IT's HELPFUL: The fist book I started Was Japanese Hiragana For beginners, I fell in love with that book, and as a review of what I learned in that book, i used Kodansha's. When I finished those books, i started this book. Of course when i bought it people were like This book is SOOOO boring, and you would get bored quickly(from the reviews i meaan). I bought it anyway. I LOVED THIS BOOK. It was a great way for review, and it helped me get a grasp on sentence structure, and in the back it has Practice boxes so you can just practice. Yes, i can see how this book can get boring, but if your serious about learning this book is really helpful. I would NOT reccomend this book if you know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about hiragana. I would recommend this book as a review, or second learning hiragana book. Overall, i loved this book, but if you have short patience level, maybe this book isn't for you. This book has a good bit of repetition, but i think that, that is helpful towards memorizing hiragana.NOW:Now, 3 months later i can read hiragana at an Advanced level, i would say i know it, like i know my ABC's. I have two kids learning Japanese. My now 10 year old started when he was 8. He was able to write hiragana perfectly from the beginning. Amazing and a little upsetting for his sister who is 17 now but 15 when she started learning Japanese. She had a hard time writing most hiragana. She finally asked for some kind of book or something. I found this and thought it looked good. When I have it to her, her eye lit up and she held it close. She has been practicing often and it has helped her so much. I am going to have to practice now too as my 10 yr old wants to give me writing hiragana quizzes.

this product is helping me speak and write Japanese with my granddaughter who is going next year.

Easy to follow along for my 9 yr old. He really liked it and uses it as a reference after he finished it.

These were a gift for a friend who reports that the product is very useful

I like this book is well explained. For self study is a must get.

Great tool for practicing Hiragana. Not a primary book for learning the language, but great for supplementing a class.

My daughter loves this book. She's determined to learn Japanese and was super excited to order this with her Christmas money.
