Grammar for English Language Teachers: With Exercises and a key

I don't think it will replace my favourite book which is on Punctuation but there is lots to read and it's a helpful tool.

On the surface this book appears extremely detailed, but closer usage and inspection shows that the explanations can be unclear, ambiguous, and at times unintuitive for the reader. Further, the explanations of the grammar points are sometimes structured in such a way that very important exceptions and caveats are not given when they would seem most appropriate. I struggled with this book as a trainee teacher, and having returned to it over the course of my career as a profeesional English language teacher, I would certainly NOT recommend it to aspiring or freshly qualified teachers. Avoid.
