Pricey but you get what you pay for. The metal support and shelf are what allow the design: cantilevered shelf and expandable.I put this above a stove but I don’t think this was designed for a stovetop - the other Yamazaki shelf unit for stoves was not only too short for my kitchen based on the dimensions given on its product page but also the shelf would have been too low as I did not have room towards the back as you can see in the pic….so I thought I’d check this out….Here are the rest of my thoughts…Caution: I don’t often use the back burners but if I did I think it’s still low for the back but I’d still have to be cautious and not put anything that catches fire easily. Once I baked something in the oven for a long time and the shelf got pretty warm as my range has an exhaust at the rear where heat was coming out.Installation: Instructions were clear . Putting it together wasn’t bad but putting the short screws slightly made me go crazy but once you get over that hump (which was probably the part that took the most time - maybe 10, 15 minutes) the rest was a breeze.Design: Clean and minimal, very sturdy. Mostly made of metal: expandable shelf, a support brace and C legs, which have plastic end caps. Hooks are plastic too but I don’t use them. I have to say the C leg is a great feature and adds a lot of versatility to the piece in that there’s no obstruction and the shelf feels wall mounted.Weight: I have a bunch of items on it - spices and add a Dutch oven too. Just one, for now. If the shelf buckles I will update this review.Overall, a keeper.

Excellent to create space, just about in every room of the house!

I have this shelf over my kitchen sink. Space is very limited. I like the rubberized feet that hold the legs just a hair above the counter. Had a wood shelf before and being near the sink, water would get under the legs. It comes with hooks so I can hang coffee cups or small utensils. This would also be great on a desk, dresser or bathroom counter.

I’m using it on my kitchen counter for bottles of sauces, spices, condiments. It’s very sturdy and expandable. I just bought my second one to hold and organize more of my things.

Yamazaki products are functional as well as attractive. I had no problem putting this rack together with the little tool provided and love that the width is adjustable so it looks more custom in the space I have on my counter. It's pretty heavy so is stable and can support heavy objects.

I bought this shelf several months ago, but have had it for less than a year. The premium pricing at first seemed justifiable, as I thought this item would last. However, one of the legs started rusting at the end cap, after just 7 months.I reached out to Yamazaki Home, the manufacturer, and they blew me off, and said they couldn't help me. I had bought several of their products because I liked the clean look, however, all have turned out to be junk! Breaking or deteriorating after just a few months of light use.

This was such a great buy. Made of very sturdy metal. Easily adjustable, no flaws or chips in the paint, easy to put together. It's a great solution for a small kitchen. Gives an extra level of space for small appliances.If you are on the fence about it don't be. It won't disappoint!

さすが、山崎実業さん。しっかりした作りです。重さは軽くはないけれど、安定性のためにはこれくらいでちょうどよいです。調味料などをこの台の上に上げたことで、作業スペースが広くなりました。台の上の余ったスペースは、調理中のものをちょっと置いておけたりするので、台の上と下で同時進行で作業が進められます。とても効率的になりました。また、白はとても清潔感があります。汚れても拭けばすぐにきれいになります。シンプルな作りは、どんなキッチンにも合います。

カウンターキッチンの蛇口上を跨がせるようにして使っています。白いキッチンなので、白だと馴染んでいいです。一緒に買った細めの食器洗いかごを乗せるとちょうどいい幅でした。もう少し高さがあると蛇口に触りやすいかなと思います。

組み立ても簡単で、高さもちょうどよい幅は自由に変更できるので、合わせやすいキッチンカウンターの上がスッキリしましたフックがあるので、洗剤やハサミを引っ掛けたりできて、水栓周りも随分スッキリした
